pmartires's Texture Mods::Installation based on v2.9.0929 not v2.9.0929a::

Skin Installation:
1. Move the "amwyamj290929" folder and its contents to the skins folder of where
YAMJ has been installed to.
2. Either rename "amwyamj290929" to "default" or edit the last line of so that it says amwyamj290929 instead of default. In my
experience, this last line in the tends to change it back
to "default" -- so after changing this line and saving it, I would make the file
READ ONLY. To do this, right click on the file, click Properties, check Read-only,
click Apply, and OK.
3. I would recommend removing all previously generated files ("C:\Program
Files\myiHome\webapps\ROOT\feature\myiHome-moviejukebox" for myiHome users) and
regenerating them. For myiHome users, go to Edit > Preferences > Plugin >
Regenerate to regenerate all the files.
4. Remember to put your overscan values back in before regenerating.
5. If you set YAMJ to download Apple trailers, make sure to only set it to
download 1 trailer. This should save you time and bandwidth. Use this line in the file:
*Remember to get the developmental version of YAMJ, found here:
*Remember to put your overscan values back in.

Overscan Tool Installation:

1. Extract the contents.
2. Place all the files on a USB drive or anywhere you can access the index.html
file on the NMT.
3. Run the index.html file on the NMT and follow the on-screen directions to find
the values for your TV.

Update - October 3, 2009 @ 10:14 EST: If you're confused about

what to do with the October 2 Mini-Update and are thinking about using Sabish's TV
Mod, as of this posting, here's what you can do:

October 2, 2009 Mini-Update

DOWNLOAD v2.9.0929a - Replace the files in v2.9.0929 with the ones in
this (detail.xsl,, skin-options.xsl). This is not a full
release; you will still need to get v2.9.0929 above. Read the below features to
see if you need this.

1. I've set banners to download as JPG because it seems YAMJ sometimes doesn't
properly convert JPG banners to PNG. This skin, out-of-the-box, does not require
the banners to be in PNG format.

2. Due to a recently discovered YAMJ bug, I've set the season-select screen to
display thumbnails instead of banners. If you're using banners and have more than
8 (or 12 or 14) seasons for a particular series, you will not be able to page down
to see the rest of the seasons. If you don't need a 2nd page to see the rest of
the seasons, you can set tv-banners-set back to true(8)/12/14.

3. I've added a note in the skin-options.xsl that rounded thumbnails cannot co-
exist with popup thumbnails.

4. For movie details, I've made the plot length adjustable using the PlotLength
variable in the skin-options.xsl. This option is a bit on the technical side, but
it's there if you feel your plots can be longer.

5. I've accidentally broken the navigation to the "TRAILER" link in the last
update. This is now fixed.

6. coiken requested a mod. I wasn't sure what to name this particular option, so
it's called coikenMod in the skin-options.xsl. And since I don't think I can
explain it clearly, here's a screen shot below:

You'll have to delete all the moviename.fanart.jpg files, and set in the before you regenerate with this
mod. You can still use this with or without the posteroverlay set to true to get
the glare.

Edit: For the coikenMod, you'll also have to edit the posters.width and
posters.height to your likings. Delete all the moviename_large.png files, then

September 29, 2009 Update
Somewhat large update. Mostly coding.

Note that this update has been tested under YAMJ svn r1111
. Using any other svn is at your own risk. r1119 enhances language
detection and r1120 fixes the bannerFile if you've set
fullMovieInfoInIndexes=false. r1120 also tweaks the multithreading.

So let's start with some graphics.

1) So you can now use 12 or 14 banners-per-page. Like the thumbnail

options, you must also pound/unpound the proper lines in the file.
These lines are close to the top, so it'll be easy to find. These lines include
banners.width, banners.height, and mjb.nbTvThumbnailsPerPage.

The other thing you'll need to know is that if you're going to set one to "true",
the other must be set to "true". If one is set to "12", the other must be set to
"12". And if one is set to "14", then the other must be set to "14". However, one
of them can be "false" (thumbnails), and the other can be any of the other

2) I've separated the T/M and C from the a, G and FilterBar. This way, you
can hide one or both.

3) I've made the popup thumbnails smaller and in the same positioning as
the 2-row popup option. This way, the movie title will stay static in the lower-

The downside of doing this is that the posters in the TV details will be slightly
more blurrier. Until we get the option to resize TV posters separately from Movie
posters, this is the way it has to be. For standalone TV jukebox users, this won't
be a problem if you use the proper thumbnails.width and thumbnails.height in the

4) I've added the poster.scanner.SearchPriority to the, so

you don't have to worry about putting this line back in.

5) I've removed the link from the Menu button -- this was originally for
myiHome users to get back to the myiHome skin -- I've now added this note to the for custom5150.exitviamenu (set it to ../../../).
6) I've added more sorting.strip.prefixes ("El ", "La ", "Los ", "Las ").

7) There was a bug in the TV function and TV episodes with very long plots
-- for example, in The Sopranos, it wouldn't display details that had very long
plots on TheTVDb -- I've cut it down and it should now be displayable.

8) The colored buttons in the details pages can now be linked. See the
skin-options.xsl for RedURL, GreenURL, YellowURL, and BlueURL. Put whatever path
or filename in each one.

9) Ellipsis put back into long movie plots.

10) If you're using MultiPart ISOs or IMGs, as you might know, they don't
work in a playlist. Normally, Play/Enter will try to play the playlist. Since it
won't work, Play/Enter will now play the first ISO/IMG.

11) MultiPart links are now in the extras/Companion page.

12) The "WATCH" row can now be hidden by setting "WatchBar" in the skin-
options.xsl to 'false'. This will also get rid of the link to "TRAILER" if you
have one. And it'll also hide the MultiPart indicator. If you have trailers, they
can still be seen in the Companion page if you have it enabled. MultiPart links
can be found in the Companion page too. MultiPart links will still be playable by
pressing the part number ("1" for part 1, "2" for part 2, etc.). By hiding the
WATCH row, the plot length has been increased to an average of 30 words.

These are actually a ton of enhancements, but most of them are pretty small. The
last 2 updates were 10 days apart. Like I said, the updates won't come as
frequently, but when they do, I'll try to put in as many feature requests as

As always, feel free to post any questions, answers, comments, suggestions, or

anything else. I also wanted to note that this is the largest YAMJ thread and the
2nd largest thread on the forums. It truly couldn't have been this way without all
of you, so thanks to everyone for the support.
