50 Enrolment: 30 pupils Theme: World of knowledge Focal skill: Writing Other skills: Listening Previous knowledge: Pupils have learned: 1. types of underwater creatures such as fish, crab, squid, prawn, turtle and etc. 2. names of underwater creatures body parts. Eg: fins, eye, carapace, etc. 3. how to construct simple sentences and subject verb agreement. Learning outcomes: By the ends of the lesson, pupils should be able to: 1. answer at least five questions on body parts functions correctly during the games time. 2. complete at least five out of seven sentences with correct subject verbagreement. Step/ Time Set induction (5 minutes) Content Example of questions post by teacher: What is the name of that animal? What are the differences between fish and squid? Have you ever touched the crab? Do you know the the parts of the crab? Teaching-Learning Activities 1. Teacher shows pupils a documentary video clip of marine creature. 2. Teacher post questions during the presentation to stimulate pupils previous knowledge. 3. Teacher discusses with pupils about the underwater creature based on the video clip projected. Presentation (15 minutes)

Big picture cards of fish, squid and crab with label of the body parts.

1. Teacher shows pupils big picture cards of the underwater creature (fish, squid and crab) with description of the body part of each creature. 2. The teacher goes through each body part with pupils by explaining the name of the body parts. 3. Teacher explains the function of the body parts using sentence cards. 4. Teacher highlighted the use of correct verb in the sentence cards. 5. Teacher picks some of the pupils to come to front of the class to match body parts with it functions.

five. In each group, at least one advanced learner needs to be allocated. 2. The teacher will explain the rules of the game as follow: The advance learners will be the umpire for each group. Each group will be given a snake ladder game. Every time, if the participants are bitten by the snake, they need to answer questions posted by the umpire based on the question cards given by teacher. 3. If the answer is correct, they may proceed forward and if the answer is wrong, they need to go backward. 4. Teacher will observe and facilitate the activities and help the pupils if needed. 5. Teacher may observe learners understanding of the vocabulary during the game. 6. Teacher discusses the answer for each question cards at the end of the game time.
