This program was designed to counter-support a teacher "walk-out" that has been suggested via social media over the last three weeks. The Walk-In may involve several activities, including the wearing of red to support public education; teachers gathering before school and walking in as a group; and, after the instructional day, inviting parents and other interested citizens into the school to discuss the contributions of public education. These events are permissible to the extent that they do not interfere with the normal activities of the school. You are encouraged to discuss this event with your NCAE representative and other teachers. The role of the school administration should be neither to orchestrate the events nor obstruct them. Please contact your Area Superintendent with any questions. Cathy Q.
