State Bank of Pakistan, the central bank of the country, is continuously undertaking various initiatives to strengthen its institutional capacity. This position is Karachi based.

Executive Director-Human Resources

This is a Karachi based senior management position responsible for providing strategic direction and overall management of Human Resource functions, including compensation & benefits, recruitment, training, organizational development, performance management and succession planning functions for SBP. Currently, this position reports directly to the Governor. The key responsibilities associated with the position include, but are not limited to following: Oversee the design/review and application of HR policies. Ensure effective management/development of Human Resource strategies and policies in line with overall business/strategic objectives. Provide expert advice to top management for planning and developing human resource, talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, performance management, career management, retention, succession planning, leadership development, diversity and meritocracy. Lead training and development programs to nurture talent in line with goals/objectives and also support oversight of SBP training institution. Guide the line managers to maximize business objectives and ensure consistent application of all HR initiatives. Facilitate and foster a performance oriented culture in line with business objectives and corporate governance principles by promoting openness and trust through transparent HR processes. Lead to institutionalize a corporate culture based on highest standards of customer orientation, office discipline/maintenance to achieve cost efficiencies and process improvements. Provide leadership to achieve regulatory compliance and manage congenial relationship with CBA. Maintain discipline and ensure compliance to prescribed rules and regulations. Eligibility Criteria Education Master degree in Human Resources, Business Administration from an HEC recognized institution or equivalent foreign qualification. Age Maximum 54 years. Relaxation may be allowed in case of highly qualified and more experienced candidates Experience Minimum 20 years relevant experience, including 12 years at the Senior Management Position, preferably in a large organization. Relaxation may be allowed in case of relevant experience in a comparable entity. Compensation Negotiated Monetized salary within the approved Salary Scale of OG-8, commensurate with Package the experience and qualifications of the candidate. Medical facility for self and dependent spouse as per Banks rules. Car with fuel and drivers salary as per Banks rules. Staff Loans & other benefits, facilities and allowances as admissible under New Compensation & Benefits Structure as per Banks rules.
