(a) Calculate the selling price of the bed room set if the balance of the payment is $5 160. [2]

(b) Justin paid the balance in monthly installments of $266.60 over 2 years. [2]
How much extra did he pay through the installment scheme instead of cash?

(c) Justin could have taken a bank loan to pay for the entire cost of the bed room set. [2]
The bank charges 6.5 % simple interest per annum over a period of two years.
Would you recommend that he take up the bank loan or the installment scheme?
State your reason clearly.

The new subscriptions that they obtained in April and May are shown in the following tables.

The rectangular water tank whose base measures 45 cm by 12 cm, is filled with water to a

at a time into the tank until the water overflows.

7 Grace planned to spend $1 500 on buying some plants, costing $y each.


Due to the large number of plants ordered, she was given a discount of $2 for each plant.
