Lets Read The Bible Genesis Chapter Six In Genesis chapter six, we are introduced to several important things

beginning with a description of what the world was li e at the time of !oah before G"# sent a flood of waters to destro$ all flesh that had the breath of life in them and the earth also% &e learn about how fallen angels 'the sons of G"#( too a t$pe of human form, so that the$ could ta e them human wives and these fallen angels mated with human women and had children% The children grew to be giants much bigger, taller and might$ than natural human beings, but later on in other chapters in Genesis and )xodus we will learn more details of these giants% We learn about Noah and his relationship with GOD. We are told that Noah was a just man and perfect (had integrity) in his generations and he walked with GOD. Notice that Noah walked with GOD thus illustrating that Noah had re erence (respect) for GOD and that Noah was different than all of the other men in the world at that time. While all of the other men and women who li ed on the face of the earth was doing their own thing their own way and did not know or fear GOD! Noah did fear (re ere) GOD and walked with GOD as opposed to running away and hiding himself from the face of GOD as all the other men and women were doing in Noah"s time# with the e$ception of Noah"s wife# their three sons and their sons wi es. %ecause# Noah found fa or with GOD he was warned about the flood before GOD sent it upon the face of all of the earth. GOD instructed Noah to build a &rk and ga e Noah e$act instructions about how big to build it# the kind of wood to use# how to pitch (seal) it# where to put a window# how big the window needs to be# where to put a door# how many stories (le els or floors) need to be in the &rk# what kind of food to gather and how to use the food. GOD left nothing up to Noah"s imagination. GOD knew what it would take to sa e Noah and Noah"s family and the animals that would come aboard the &rk when the floods came upon the earth. %efore we begin reading this ne$t chapter# it should be noted that there may be some wording and descriptions of things that may not be familiar to many readers reading this chapter# but at the end of this study there will be a link pro ided to the %ibleGateway site that will direct anyone interested to read a different ersion (translation) that tells the same story using a more modern day 'nglish language that will hopefully make it a little easier to understand what is being taught in this chapter.
