Consultation with affected groups is the rational way to make decisions in a free society. they assist the surveillance of the government by exposing information it would rather keep secret. different levels of civil disobedience are undertaken and the government has but no choice to take a look at the demands. thereby facilitating social progress and preventing social .the information and advice provided by groups helps to improve the quality of government policy and legislation.Are you happy with country political system? 8 Do you have confidence in political parties? 28 Would you like to have higher economic growth? 76 Would you like to see the improvement in law and order situation in country? 57 Role of Interest/Pressure Groups in Policy Process Pressure groups play an essential role in Pakistan. pressure groups have greatly improved the quality of government. canes and other violent means being used to disrupt protests and demonstrations. Pressure groups affect the governmental affairs in many ways. Pressure groups use many tactics to pressurize the Pakistani government. However. Large-scale demonstrations mounted by any group sometimes leads to unpleasant clashes with the police. They enable new concerns and issues to reach the political agenda. sometimes involving water-cannons. When this happens. pressure groups enable particular interests and causes to be heard and to exert influence in public decision and decisionmaking. It makes government more efficient by enhancing the quality of the decision making process . In Pakistan. Pressure groups thereby improve the accountability of decision makers. thereby reinforcing and complementing work of opposition through political parties. Political parties in Pakistan cannot provide adequate representation for the full range of diverse interests and opinions in a modern democracy because their key function is to aggregate interests into a coherent political entity capable of governing the country. A pressure group could also be known as an 'interest group' or as a 'lobbying unit' or even as a 'protest team'. and to make the government according to aspirations of the people of Pakistan. These political parties have to make unity and discipline among themselves and aim to unite the country in the same way. and success. Political Parties: In our Pakistan different kind of political parties are found. such as Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry. But in our country these political parties always adopt unconstitutional way to bring the opposition down. The government can then integrate these into its current regime to improve it further. This is the only way for these political parties to put Pakistan in to a new horizon of prosperity and social welfare state. or even created to affect fundamental changes in the thinking of the citizens. Electoral Process in Pakistan: The Parliament of Pakistan consists of the President and two Houses to be known respectively as National Assembly and the Senate. For example. relational and religious political parties are existing in Pakistan. They always have to talk about national interest and try to achieve them frequently. The National Assembly consists of 342 Seats including 60 seats reserved for Women and 10 Seats reserved for Non-Muslims. As for as their role is concern that is totally futile and inept. Qualification of a Voter A person. is of good character and is not commonly known as one who violates Islamic injunctions. worked against the integrity of the country or opposed the ideology of Pakistan and is graduate. righteous and non-profligate. each of whom is a Judge of High Court. is not declared by a competent court to be of unsound mind and is or is deemed to be a resident of an electoral area. is not less than 18 years of age on the first day of January of the year in which the rolls are prepared or revised. appointed by the President after consultation with the Chief Justice of High Court concerned and with the Chief Election Commissioner. is sagacious. can get himself enrolled as a voter in that electoral area. after establishment of Pakistan. is enrolled as a voter in any electoral roll and in case of National/Provincial Assemblies is not less than 25 years of age and in case of Senate not less than 30 years of age. has adequate knowledge of Islamic teachings and practices. and has not. obligatory duties prescribed by Islam as well as abstains from major sin. has not been convicted for a crime involving moral turpitude or for giving false evidence. Qualification for membership of the Parliament and Provincial Assemblies: A person who is a citizen of Pakistan. honest and ameen.
