The display of Tecnomatix products is divided into various distinct regions, each constituting a separate window. The various windows can be moved, resized, and hidden behind other windows. A specific use is assigned to each such window. The remainder of this section describes the uses of the windows and the operations which can be performed on them.

Using Windows
This section describes the individual windows comprising the multiple-window display of Tecnomatix products: menus, directories, graphics, commands, messages, data and utilities. Not all products use all of the windows. They are illustrated below.

Menus window. The menus window is located along the top of the display; it display the name of the product, the full UNIX pathname of the working directory, and a list of the menus pertaining to the product. The contents of the selected menu are displayed in the commands window. Directories window. The directories window is located directly under the menus window in the Data tool only. It displays the names of the source and destination directories used for many of the copy commands. The names appear adjacent to the names of the commands which specify these directories. Graphics window. The primary window of graphics products is the graphics window: it displays graphics information. Unlike the other windows, this window may be resized and duplicated as desired; it can even fill the entire screen in order to show complicated simulations with enhanced detail.

In addition to this messages window. But the bottom row contains toolboxes common to all Tecnomatix products. Manipulating Windows This section describes the manner in which the individual windows of multiple-window displays can be manipulated. viewpoint and full view commands in the Window Setup submenu (described in the Keyboard-Mouse Utilities section of the on-line documentation) are disabled.g. for example.
