Initial Meeting to discuss year plans and first steps to take 50 Minute Meeting, Discussed the pro’s and con’s of the first show. Also discussed better technologies to use and steps while editing Everybody’s been busy so this was a meeting based on catching up. Discussed my issues with what was supposed to be episodes 3 and four neither of which aired. Came to the conclusion that airing once a week is way too much and once every two weeks is more realistic We’ve been a little all over the place. Between me applying to college and working and Pat well working we haven’t had time to formally meet. In this meeting we talked about the graphics package I created and how I can improve it. We also looked over my goals and how far I’ve come in them.

Created rundown template on excel. I also created the first rundown and graphics for the first show Filming did not go well. Was not prepared. No artificial light caused bad shadows and bad audio Re-filming with sunlight. Green Screen didn’t go well, but started post production regardless. Everything is taking longer than I expected. Hopefully this is not a common thing and will speed up with experience Initial Filming with second show. Trying to directly edit the green screen and lower thirds with AE over PP. Working better and looking prettier but slower process Uploading and putting final touches on. Technology hates me. Finally aired. YouTube is annoying.

taking forever. This is not good everything is taking longer than expected, considering changing to every two weeks. 10-17 Ok, I’m way behind. I don’t actually want to air it ----because it’s too dated. Topics are almost two weeks old at this point Spent all week working on the School’s scoop and 3 bowling alley skit. Airing those in place of my show so we’re not bombarding with content. Good news: Getting better at green screen. Schools show looks really nice. Haven’t talked to Pat in a while due to both busy schedules including college and IMS. Filmed the show outside, editing tomorrow. Let’s see how this comes out. Working on the sidebar graphics Pat suggested. Let’s see. Editing and finishing the show. Looking good. Excited to see the sidebar graphics. Built with the basic square tool in photoshop and then basically beveled everything. Is it a weak way of doing it? Yes. But we’ll see how it looks Finished editing. Posted to YouTube and the website. The longest part is the waiting. Advertised via facebook and twitter. Happy Thanksgiving! Ok, well close. Created a new graphics package for the sidebar. I used the same .5

techniques but I think it looks very good. Used lighter colors to make it look a little bit crisper. I like it. Finally applied to college, now that that’s out of the way I’m back to work. Ok so I reposted things that I found hysterical and what not and also took some footage of the Superbowl. Unfortunately Not very much of it was very good, but I’m doing some edits to try to make the best of it. I tried to film something in the snow. It didn’t work. This is much harder than I thought. The camera fell over due to wind. This was a terrible idea (filming during a blizzard) Filming again. Determined to get one right this time. Did a great job on camera. I thought that my sarcasm was funny. The part about me being cold will defiantly get sympathy from some people, plus I think that we used things that are relatable. And by we, I mean me. Editing. Graphics packages look really cool. This is prolonged but I could have expected that. Video of the week is hilarious. This one will be good. Aired and talked to Delaney about partially doing something for the Hornet Buzz to try to attract more viewers to my show. I think that this will be a really good idea if I can get Ms. Kenter-Potty to sign on to it. Filmed talent show from the back of the auditorium. Had a few minor issues with the focus as I

continued to press the wrong button and make everything too bright. 1-24 The talent show edits took forever. Had to render through and edit each act individually including making 2-11 lower thirds. Had to watch each one to make sure I didn’t do anything stupid like I usually do like drop an f-bomb in the background. Just so you know, I didn’t but I have before. I cannot stress enough that these things took me forever. 2-13 Filming the senior project video. Filming in Mr. Caisse’s room was easy. Everyone made things easy. 2-18 This was one of the easier edits I’ve had to do. This was basically just cutting and then ripple delete. The hard part was making the graphics as after effects doesn’t like me. 3-6 Setting up for the boxing show I plan on filming tomorrow. 3-7 Filming the show itself. Good practice filming sporting events, also helping me relax before fighting. Pretty relaxed, all I had to do was sit by the camera. 3-20 Editing the boxing event. Granted it has nothing to do with a webshow at all, but at the same time it helps me practice my skill editing events instead of pre-recorded shows.

Fieldwork Log Information
The second part of the Senior Project is an actual hands on experience related to the proposed topic or area of study. Students choose and work with a mentor from the community with experience directly related to their project. Sample Fieldwork Log
Date 9/27/10 Description of fieldwork I met with my mentor at her home to figure out how to begin my project. We brainstormed and began creating a list of everything I would need to accomplish to complete my project. We decided that the first thing I needed to do was to get permission from the school administration. I met with Mr. Connolly to discuss what I would need to do to reserve the basketball court for a fundraiser. I learned that I would be required to have adult supervision and would have to pay to have a custodian and police office present. I began brainstorming how I would organize the teams. I tried to figure out how many people would be on a team, how many teams we could have sign-up, how to bracket the teams, and how long games could be so that everyone could play. I also started to create a flyer to advertise the event Number of Hours 1 hour
