Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month from September thru May at 7pm in the Luther Manor Conference Room, 4545 N. 92 nd St., Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

May 1 Competition Night

Remember that our competition night meeting starts early, at 6:30 rather than 7pm. Bring your own beverage and any snacks to sustain you through the evening.

Judges will be Bill Meyer, Peter Zuzga, John Ehlerts, and Jane Hirst.

If you want to enter prints in the WACCO competition, which takes place in Appleton, and don’t plan to go up there, bring your prints to this meeting and Kathy Braun will take them for you.

Pauline Beck sent a note about future Luther Manor exhibitions. After Bert Hartinger has his exhibition in May, we will have an exhibition of Harley prints, such as was presented in City Hall. Please bring those Harley prints to this May 1 meeting.

After that we will have an exhibition of prints from our competition. Rather than taking prints home after judging, consider leaving them with the club.

Results of our Business Meeting

Officers will stay the same. Richard Yehl agreed to be President (for the 6 th year running!) but instead of him doing practically everything himself,

responsibilities will be assigned to others to keep the club functioning.

Kathy promised to actively assist the President. She also knows how to run the competition and scoring.

Richard, Pauline, and Phil Block met April 8 to document how the club is organized and the job descriptions for the responsible persons who are officers, committee chairmen, volunteers, etc.

Pauline will continue to look for photo opportunities, organize outings, and help with communications.

Sandra Weber will continue editing our web site and managing our Flickr account, receive digital photos to show at meetings, and run the computer and projector to show them.

Michael Jeske volunteered to coordinate the photo displays at the Luther Manor Welcome Center.

Karren Jeske volunteered to be the second WACCO delegate, to replace Jeff Tamms. Kathy Braun is and will be our other delegate.

Treasurer Dixie Lowin reported income this year of $610 from dues, and expenditures totaling $541.20 for such things as printing brochures, donations to Luther Manor, and dinners for competition judges. We have $71.00 in cash, and $1906.27 in the bank.

We voted to keep dues at $20 for a single membership, and $30.00 for a couple, and also to write a check of $75.00 to Luther Manor.

Club Banquet

Our end of program year banquet will be May 15. The banquet will be held in the LM Conference Room, instead of at Mayer’s Restaurant.

This will be a potluck affair with everyone bringing a dish to share, and bringing their own beverage. Come at 6pm to socialize, and we will eat at 7pm.

Competition awards will be distributed and winning images shown.

Prints Needed for the PSA Council Challenge

Bring one un-mounted print 8x10 to the May meeting. Digital images for the Council Challenge have already been selected.

WACCO Spring Competition

The WACCO Spring competition this year will be in Appleton May 3, and the location is D. J. Bordini Center, S. N. Systems Drive, Appleton, WI 54914.

Exhibit Schedule at Luther Manor

The exhibitors now at Luther Manor are Jerry Harders and Gene Newlin. When their joint exhibit comes down, after about a month, Karren and Michael Jeske will exhibit, and after that Bert Hartinger will take a turn.

Then will follow our exhibit of Harley prints, and following that an exhibit of prints from our competition.

Treat Schedule

May 1 – Treat yourself. Year-end competition (bring your own snacks and beverage).
