Visa exemption countries: Citizens of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia and Laos holding valid ordinary passports are exempt from visa requirements and are allowed to stay for not more than 30 days. Philippines are allowed to stay for not more than 21 days. Citizens of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Russian Federation and South Korea holding different kinds of passports are exempt from visa requirements and are allowed to stay for not more than 15 days. Citizens of Brunei for visits of 14 days at the maximum. Citizens of France holding valid diplomatic or official passports for visits of 90 days at the maximum or several visits of 6 months at the maximum. Citizens of Chile holding valid diplomatic or official passports for visits of 90 days at the maximum. Other countries which are not listed above are required to have visa to Vietnam. 2. How to get visa to Vietnam? There are two major types of visa to Vietnam: tourist visa and business visa. Business visa Available for 3 months, 6 months or more than 1 year single or multiple entry and the right to work. After 3 months, you can extend once for next 3 months. If you work more than 1 year, after 6 months, your company must get you a temporary residence card. However, we strongly recommend you to get tourist visa for its convenience and suitability in Vietnam. Tourist visa Available 1 month, 3 months or 6 months (for above 20 years old) for single or multiple entry. Tourist visa can be extended twice after you arrival in Vietnam.

b. How to get tourist visa to Vietnam? *** Apply online (Visa on arrival) You can apply online as following steps: Fill in secure online form at http://vietnamvisa.govt.vn/. Pay the service fee. Get your visa approval letter within two working days by email and print. Pick up your visa at destination airport and get the stamp in your passport (only at Tan Son Nhat airport Ho Chi Minh city). ***Apply at the Vietnamese Embassy: Countries should get visa at the Vietnamese Embassy: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Israel.
