1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. The Bark For Life of Malone is hosted by the Malone Relay For Life team, Wild Country 96.5. All funds raised for the Bark For Life of Malone will go towards the Malone Relay For Life totals, benefitting The American Cancer Society. All dogs and their handlers at the Event must be registered and pay the registration fee, even if not participating in the walk. Dogs considered part of the Event activities or ceremonies (ie. Demos, speakers) may have their fee waived if approved by the Event Chair. All participants must complete registration form and sign waiver prior to or at the event by mailing to the Bark For Life Event Chair or completing form at the Event. Pre-registration is recommended. Bark For Life participants are the canines and their owner/handler. The owner/handler registration information is the canine contact information. Event registration is $20 which is for one person and one dog. A family rate is also available. For an additional $5, 1-3 family members can register to join the registered participant on the Bark walk. The family member names must be provided for registration. Dogs will be screened as they check in at the Event. Dogs must be up-to-date on all vaccinations and proof of current rabies must be shown at the event . Preferred proof is the certificate of rabies. Other acceptable methods will be determined by the Event Chair and may include the tag with current year and verification from an approved veterinarian. We reserve the right to turn away any dogs that are a threat to the other participants (people and canines). There is a limit of one dog per handler. Dogs must be at least six months old. Dogs must be on a leash at all times (no more than six feet leash). Dogs in heat will be turned away. Participants are responsible for cleaning up after their dog. Registrants 18 and younger must have an adult chaperone. The chaperone will not be charged a registration fee unless the chaperone registers with their own dog and will then be responsible for paying their own registration fee of $20. All canines will receive a Bark For Life bandana with the paid registration fee of $20. There are small and large sizes available. The dog size will be obtained at registration. All dogs at the event must be registered and wearing a Bark For Life bandana which designates registered and approved dogs. All handlers will be provided with a participant sticker for 2014 to be worn visibly, which designates paid registrants. All participants are encouraged to obtain sponsors for themselves and their dogs and/or for their team or to fundraise to raise money for the Event. Participants may contact the Bark For Life Event Chair for fundraising ideas. Some sites to sell appropriate items will be available at the Event for interested teams. The team and individual that raise the most money will receive a prize. The individual raising the most money and/or the team captain of the top team will be invited to be grand marshals the following year, carrying the Bark For Life banner. All Bark For Life registration and donation checks are made payable to the American Cancer Society. Cash is also accepted. Bark For Life donations will be accepted through June 19, 2014 to contribute to the 2014 Malone Relay For Life Event fundraising total. To honor our cancer survivors and canine survivors, all Bark For Life registration forms request the cancer survivor status of the canine owner and the canine. To honor our caregivers and canine caregivers, all Bark For Life registration forms request the caregiver status of the canine owner. Bark For Life teams may sell food, drinks and other related items. All proceeds will go to their team. Teams must sign up for sites by May 15 and items to sell must be approved by the Bark For Life Event Chair. There will be outside sites near the shelter. 10x10 pop up tents are allowed but will not be provided. They must be supplied by the team and can only be placed in designated areas. Sites will be marked designating the team for whom it is reserved. Tables and chairs are not provided. Vendors who pay $25 will be allowed a site to provide information or to sell appropriate products at the Event. Sponsor Agreement forms must be received by May 14, 2014 to be guaranteed a site at the Event and full sponsor benefits. There will be outside sites near the shelter, which are available first come first serve. 10x10 pop up tents are allowed, but will not be provided. They must be supplied by the vendor and can only be placed in designated areas. Sites will be marked designating the vendor for whom it is reserved. Larger tents must be approved by the Event Chair prior to the Event. Tables, chairs and power outlets are not provided. Alcohol and smoking are not allowed at the Event.
