Sunday April 27 ~ 2nd Sunday of Easter Scripture

Divine Mercy Celebration @ St. Josephs

Fr. Richard Kowalchuk extends a warm invitation to parishioners of St. Helen this weekend, the 2nd Sunday of Easter to celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday. The faithful assemble at 3:00 in the afternoon at St. Josephs church, Grimsby to venerate the sacred image while praying the chaplet

They devoted themselvesto the communal life, to the breaking of bread and to the prayers. (Acts 2:42) My strength and my courage is the LORD, he is my savior. (Psalm 118;14) even though you do not see him now you believe, (1 Peter 1:8) Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed. (John 20:29)

NCDSB - Serving in the Love of Christ

Catholic Education Week 2014 begins on Sunday May 4. The Catholic Schools in our parish will engage in a series of events to celebrate the gift of publicly-funded Catholic education. You are invited to discover what celebrations are happening and if possible attend. Your support is important! Visit www.niagaracatholic.ca

Reflection
Why is it hard to believe what the heart feels but cannot see or touch? Do you feel the loving presence of God in your heart (your core being)? After the cross, and the resurrection what comes next For the disciples and for you as a disciple? Does it help you to live your faith through the parish community to pray, to live the sacraments, and to serve as a community of disciples? Generation after generation passes. And in the midst of this passing the cross of Christ remains. Through the cross, God continuously proclaims to the world the infinite love that no created evil is able to overcome. Yes, the cross remains, so that in the world, indeed every human person may find the way to salvation. For it is by this cross that the world is saved.Mark
