Who do you blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet? Mercutio and the Nurse are at fault and responsible of the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. I blame Mercutio because he started a fight and lost and got killed, and Nurse is also to blame because she allowed family enemies to see each other and fall deeply in love. The first character to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet is Mercutio. Mercutio is to blame first because before the fight Tybalt only wanted to have one word with him, but of course he was trying to be funny and wanted to make jokes towards Tybalt, so Tybalt wanted to fight. Romeo told Mercutio stop trying to funny and stop being disrespectful but he didnt want to listen. This is what Mercutio stated to Tybalt in act three scene one By my heel I come not make it one word and blow. (This quote supports that Mercutio wanted to act tough so he was being disrespectful so in turn he wanted to start a fight). So when Tybalt pulled out his sword to fight Mercutio he fought and lost his battle. So when Mercutio died Romeo got upset and heated. Then Romeo went for Tybalt killed him and then got sent out of Verona. So all in all if Mercutio did not start the fight then Romeo would not have got sent out of the country and the story would of happen happily ever after. The second character to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet is the Nurse. Nurse is to blame because Romeo snuck inside the party that was only for the Capulets. He somehow met Juliet danced and kissed her and they both fell in love. The Nurse told Juliet who he was. In act one scene five she stated his name is Romeo and a Montague, the son of your great enemy. (This quotes supports my claim because she did not band Juliet from seeing or speaking to Romeo.) Also, in the article the brain of love.Another reason why is because she was the messenger for them. She went to Romeo to confirm their marriage. She was not following her orders directed by lord and lady Capulet. So her being the messenger killed them both.

Some people may suggest Romeo is to blame; however this is why he is not. He is not to blame because all he wanted was to marry his one true love. But because of one persons mistake messed up his whole life. Mercutio and the Nurse are at fault and are of the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. I blame Mercutio because he wanted to act tough and got killed. I blame the Nurse because she didnt follow the orders lord Capulet gave to her. I think well Mercutio is already executed so I think the nurse should be executed too.
