Hi Niccolo Bravo!!!! Thanks to you and to all who assisted in gaining this result. I understand the caveat. Regards, Barbara J Parker Oakland City Attorney 510-703-5718 As if it harmed me giving others the same rights and privileges that I possess; as if it were not indispensable to my own rights that others possess the same.

Here is the only caveat; we will need to use this tool as they will be keeping annual data and if we dont use it, and they see that, we wont have much empathyjust passing this on. Thank you for your hard work and effort, I will keep you posted on status. ND

Thanks so much, Nicolo! Any sense in terms of reading the tea leaves? Btw, I understand that at least one other city that did not submit any info to state regarding their activities. Is that correct, and if so, should this be woven into the discussion? Regards,

As you know, since last week I have had many different conversations with Assm Ridley Thomas, his Legislative Director, Assm Bonta, and his staff. 2. I have explained where the City is coming from; this is a valuable tool to help address deep rooted public safety nuisances and we were never contacted about being removed from the code section. 3. Assm Ridley Thomass office requested a copy of the approved reso and a letter outlining our request to be included in the bill. 4. I have delivered the letter and reso and have followed up with both Bontas office and Ridley Thomass office a few times this week. 5. Where our request currently stands is that legislative staff (Bontas office, Ridley Thomas office, Assembly Judiciary committee staff) will be meeting Friday on our request and how to move forward. 6. From there I will have a better sense of what more, if anything, we may need to do. There were a lot of emails going around so I just wanted to do a summary for all. As always, please let me know if there are any questions. Thank you.
