On Kindness

Aldous Huxley, near the end of his life, wrote: “It is a bit embarrassing to have been concerned with the human problem all one’s life and find at the end that one has no more to offer by way of advice than ‘try to be a little kinder.’” Philo of Alexandria says: “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” That's good stuff, yes?

I've sensed it's not the obvious path this country espouses to greatness, but it's the path I encourage every day. I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one!

One of my favorite quotes: "In the turmoil of life, there are two things that stand like stone The kindness you show to strangers in the face of their troubles And the courage you show in the face of your own"
