NEW YEARS EVE: Games

When you have any type of party, especially involving college students, there must me some type of exciting activities going on. This is why having interesting games that involve a majority of the attendees will turn out into a great party.

Planning of the Games

When planning a party, the planner must know the age range of the people they are inviting. With this particular party the vast majority of attendees will be college students. In this case, the age could range from 18-22. Next, you must gather information on what people in this age range like to do. You must find out what games are popular at that time. (Hint: Google is always a great help!)

11

Location and Prizes

Location
Your location of where to hold the games can have an effect on the games that can be played. If the party is in a smaller area such as a college apartment or small clubhouse room, then you would have to find games that are suitable such as Wii games or Ping Pong. These games are fun and they dont take up too much space. If your party is in more of a larger area such as a rented room or a bigger clubhouse then you can have the photo booths or the pool table games. The host or planner should always think about the location when trying to put the entertainment in place.

Prizes/Party Favors
12

Everyone loves coming to a party or gathering and having something to take home with them. For this New Years Party there are ample decorations and party favors that can be passed out to the attendees. You should have a different variety of:

Many of these prizes are relatively cheap to purchase at your local party supplies store. You can also make your own prizes and give your own personal touch as the theme.

Popular Games/Entertainment

13

Beer Pong*
Few games are so well-known and well-liked across college campuses as Beer Pong. While technically a drinking game, beer pong requires a great deal of skill and a little luck, and it can be enjoyed by just about anybody of legal age.

To play this game, the following items need to be acquired:

1. 2. 3.

Table Red solo Cups Ping Pong Balls

This Game requires at least two-four people to play in which each person, or team, sets up at each end of the table. Each team then sets up cups in the form of a pyramid with the base of the pyramid containing four cups. Each cup is then filled 1/3 of the way up with a beverage of there choosing. And one cup filled with water to wash off the balls that fall short of the cup. After each team has set-up their side they then alternate turns trying to make their balls into the opposing teams cups. Once a cup is made the team is then required to drink the cup and remove it from the table. The game ends when one team makes all of the opposing teams cups.

Photo Booth

Photo Booths are a great way to make sure people are having a good time at your party, as well as providing moments in which they can share and store for years to come. To set up a photo booth, all you need is a sheet in which you are able to hang from a wall and a box full of items such as hats and props for your guests to pick out of for their pictures.

Jeopardy

Jeopardy can be another fun game to get everyone involved at your party. Set just like the popular game show, you can then divide the group up into two teams and play head to head. The team with the most points at the end of the game is the winner. You can make up your own questions and categories for each section. While we recommend making them theme related.

Charades

Charades is another game that gets a large number of people involved. To play, cut out 1015 slips of paper per team and have both teams come up with things for the other team to act out. Once complete each team places their slips in their own bowl and then switches bowls with the other team. The team with the most correct answers wins the game.
