I. Objectives: The children will participate in structured physical activities Domain: Physical Development & Health Element: Health Knowledge & Practice The children will develop motor control and balance for their health game Domain: Physical Development & Health Element: Gross Motor Skills The children will use socially appropriate behavior with peers and adults, such as helping, sharing, and taking turns throughout the activity Domain: Social & Emotional Development Element: Social Relationships II. Materials: Story Colored pom poms (2 different colors) Feely box Colored tape Spoons (2) Solid object III. Procedure: A. Motivation I will enter circle time and introduce my story to the children B. Steps 1. I will read the story to the children and ask questions throughout 2. The children will tell me some things they can do to stay healthy 3. The children will each come up individually and take one pomp om from the feely box to determine their team 4. I will provide each team with the materials needed and then explain the directions 5. I will then show the children a visual example of what they are going to do 6. Each team will stand in line behind the tape mark on the floor 7. They will place their object on the spoon and wait for me to tell them to go 8. The children will carefully walk to the other line balancing their object on the spoon 9. Once the children have reached the other line they will then give their object and spoon to the next player in line. 10. If they drop their object off the spoon they will have to start from the starting line again 11. When each team member has given the spoon to the next child they will sit in the designated chairs off to the side and encourage their friends 12. After everyone has finished the winning team will be determined 13. The winning team will pick an exercise that the losing team must perform as a group 14. The children will repeat steps 6-13 depending on how fast they are done IV. Conclusion: The children then tell me multiple exercises that they can do to stay healthy

V. Transition: The children will pick a colored pom pom to determine groups VI. Follow-Up: 1. Let the children check their heart beat 2. Enjoy a healthy snack VII. Evaluation/Assessment: 1. Did the children participate in structured physical activities? 2. Did the children successfully develop motor control and balance for their health game? 3. Were the children able to use socially appropriate behavior with peers and adults, such as helping, sharing, and taking turns throughout the activity provided? Self Reflection: 1.
