Total Promotions
The total number of employees who were promoted to a higher-level position or one of greater
responsibility during the survey period.
Total Transfers
The total number of employees who were transferred to a different department or different job
category of an equal level of responsibility during the survey period.
Purpose
Total Career Path Ratio is promotions as a percentage of all employee movement (transfers and
promotions) within the organization. This metric is an indicator of career development opportunities
existing within the organization for all employees. ASSOCIATED HUMAN CAPITAL METRICS: Internal

during the survey period. This is a count of each employee trained per class.
Regular Headcount
The average number of regular employees, regardless of hours worked in the reporting unit for the
survey period.
Purpose
Regular Employees Headcount Trained Percent is the number of employees taking training classes as
a percentage of regular headcount. This includes all employees who attended any training program,
each time they attended, thus, the result can be greater than 100%. This metric indicates how
committed an organization is to providing employees with training opportunities and whether
