Successful candidates will join a team of Oracle Database Administrators who are responsible for the installation,
configuration and maintenance of organisations infrastructure. The primary responsibilities of the Oracle Database
Administrator include:
-Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Oracle Database versions 10g and 11g on Solaris and Linux
-Configuration and troubleshooting of Oracle RAC, Dataguard, ASM & RMAN
-Build development environments and provide support during application development.
-Build production systems and provide support through to go live
-Provide documentation for production support
-Manage small projects and deliver to deadlines
-Be able to hold technical discussions with colleagues around the organisation and provide managerial updates.
We are looking for a candidate who has 6-7 years experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, who is well versed
in Oracle 9i, 10G &11G and knowledge on legacy database versions on Windows, Solaris and Linux. Our ideal
candidate will also need to have experience with 10g RAC / 11g RAC, Dataguard, ASM and have exposure to
installation, migration, upgrades, patching, configuration and security management in a production environment. Will
also be an expert in Database backup/recovery, SQL performance tuning and Database capacity planning.
My Financial Services client based in Luxembourg urgently require an Oracle DBA for an initial 6 month contract
with a view to extending long term. Our ideal candidate will need to be an Oracle Database Administrator who has
experience working/supporting live systems on a 24/7 basis. You will need to have a minimum of 4/5 years experience
as an Oracle DBA and be comfortable managing 20 enterprise wide databases. We are also looking for someone who
has previous experience working with Linux systems which include storage/back up and general exposure working

Oracle DBA Technical Requirements:
Oracle certification (OCP).
Experience of Oracle Database Administration - including upgrades and patching.
Experience of Installing and configuring Oracle RDBMS across versions
Able to manage multiple RDBMS across versions and platforms.
Proven experience working within a team.
Proven track record for monitoring and tuning performance related issues.
Experience of Oracle RAC, Oracle CRS.
Familiarity with Unix/Linux (Windows desirable but not essential) operating systems to a level below a dedicated
Systems Administrator.
Implementation, configuration and ongoing projects for all releases of the Oracle database.
Communicate with members of the team when issues arise.
Provide mentoring for junior members of the team.
Attend any customer on-site meetings as required.
Provide customer Status Reports on time as required by customer contracts.
Update and maintain all Primary Customer details.
Provide proactive support to help improve the customer environment.
Provide customer health checks as required.

Oracle DBA - Oracle Database Consultant - Latest Oracle Technology
- Working experience on related technology for at least 5 - 7 years

Role and Responsibilities:
Administer Oracle Databases on Oracle Linux (Red Hat Linux)
Install and configure Oracle Server 11g
Upgrade Oracle database from previous versions to the latest supported version.
Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize the database performance and SQL tuning
Develop and support database maintenance scripts
Develop and maintain database design and support documentation
Create and maintain standby databases without the use of Data Guard (DB Visit is currently in use)
Able to participate in on call rota
Must have an all-round skill set not just Oracle DBA
Required Skills:
Must have a minimum 5 years' experience in Oracle Database Administration of 10g/11g
Proven experience with RMAN backup and TSM.
Data Pump, SQL*loader
Strong scripting using bash, ksh, perl, etc
Experience of third party tools such as Toad
Possess excellent communication skills
Ability to work quickly, under pressure and to tight deadlines
Ability to work in a team as well as take individual responsibility.
