Alonys Art Shows at Crewest Gallery’s Top of the Dome VI Exhibit, November 7 – 29th in Los Angeles, CA
The Mad Scientist Piece Pays Homage to Dia De Los Muertos
Los Angeles, CA / November 5, 2009 – San Diego-born, Inland Empire-based artist Alonys will show at the Top of the Dome VI event at Crewest Gallery, located at 110 Winston St. in Los Angeles, CA, November 7-29th in Los Angeles. “The piece I created for this years celebration is ‘The Mad Scientist.’ This sums up my idea of the state of the world today as we transform within the digital age, not knowing if and when to push “the button” or if in fact its already been pushed. In my piece, the skull becomes the nucleus for all the negative and positive possibilities. It’s a question of life or death, and its up to the collector to balance the equation,” shares Alonys.

In celebration of Dia De Los Muertos, Crewest Gallery brings further excitement through art with it’s newest exhibition “Top of the Dome VI” featuring ceramic skulls designed by Gregg Stone and transformed by the imagination of today’s hottest tattoo artists, painters, sculptors, graffiti artists, muralists, graphic designers and fine artists. This year’s Top of the Dome promises to bring an extreme level of creativity meant to inspire and stir the curious nature of the roaming soul in search of interesting and intriguing artwork to call their own. Top of the Dome is not just an exhibition but rather an experience you do not want to miss. To regain sanity in an insane world, she began to express her thoughts and life in the form of abstract art. Simply beginning on supermarket paper bags, her work blossomed when it reached canvas of all sizes. She developed her style with acrylic paint, and began to add anything she could find around her to create original mixed media pieces. Surrounded by the entertainment industry, a major element in her art is the use of vinyl records, CDs, and clothing. She attempts to provoke thought by infusing words, vibrant colors, and textures in her work. In 2008 Alonys began MAD COLOUR, a one of a kind custom painted handbag line made from bamboo and canvas. MAD COLOUR will launch in 2010 and merge Alonys' creativity and abilities within Art and Fashion. ### About Crewest Crewest is a gallery that supports some of the most talented underground artists from the West Coast and beyond.
