Ljt design’s
model showcase
reflects a tuscan
olde world style
2004-2005
“Form and function should be one, joined in a spiritual union.”

– Frank Lloyd wright

“Architecture is like a mythical fantastic. It has to be experienced. It can’t be described. We can
draw it up and we can make models of it, but it can only be experienced as a complete whole.”
– Maya Lin
“The details are not the details. They
make the design.”

– Charles eames
“Design is not making beauty.
Beauty emerges from selection,
affinities, integration, love.”

- louis kahn
You are greeted at The entry by An 11’6” tall arched custom hand carved 9’
mahogany front door with seeded glass transom and sidelites
“Design must seduce, shape and more importantly evoke an emotional response.” – April greiman
The model showcase is all
about scale as this home
has soaring ceilings and
large spaces. hence, All
furniture selections
were oversized and
grand.

through the 14’ tall

“There are three responses to a piece
of design – yes, no, and WOW! Wow is
the one to aim for.”

– milton glaser

T
“All architecture is shelter, all great architecture is the design of space that contains, cuddles, exalts, or
stimulates the persons in that space.” – Philip Johnson
A WARM SUN-KISSED tuscan
ambience is creatED through
DISTRESSED FINISHES – a
stuccoed glazed wall finish,
solid bronze rocky mountain
hardware and knotty alder
floors, woodwork and
doors.

The design challenge posed by
vast spaces with high ceilings
requires using furniture or
other design elements which
visually fill the space so it
does not feel empty and cold.
The Living and dining rooms were combined - great for entertaining
“Architecture is really about well-being. I think that people want to feel good in a space … On the
one hand it’s about shelter, but it’s also about pleasure.”
– zaha hadid

beauty to produce something that the world didn’t know it was missing.”
- Paola Antonelli
