Ian Anderson scheduled to perform live at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee
Milwaukee, WI: April 29
th
, 2014
Announced today, Ian Anderson is scheduled to perform live at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee on
Saturday, October 18
th
at 8:00 p.m. Anderson will perform Jethro Tull classics as well as his latest
album Homo Erraticus, which he defines as Folk-Prog-Metal.
Andersons stop in Milwaukee is part of his 2014 tour, which began late this month, shortly after the
release of his new album. The first half of his tour begins with 22 stops in the United Kingdom,
followed by 29 tour dates in the United States.
The current band members include Ian Anderson, on flute, vocals and acoustic guitar; Florian Opahle
on electric guitar; Scott Hammond on drums; John OHara on keyboards; and David Goodier on
bass, with the additional vocal and theatrical input of Ryan ODonnell on stage.
The new record release features heavier, less acoustic guitar sounds and more of Andersons
trademark flute. Anderson also plans on producing an elaborate stage show including video and
theatrical performances.
"After winning the Grammy for best "Hard Rock/Metal album back in 1988, this seems like an
opportunity to justify that strange and misplaced accolade with a new album to celebrate the more
forceful, full-on rock credentials which are found in many of my songs over the last 45 years. It's not
an end to the acoustic and gentler moments but more of an emphasis on the louder aggressive flute
style which marked me out from the earliest days of Jethro Tull, says Anderson.
Tickets to see Ian Anderson perform at the Pabst Theater live in Milwaukee this fall are still
available. Please visit www.pabsttheater.org for more information.
