Here is the latest eWOOF. Lots of great dogs featured here, including some seniors who would love to find a comfy place to land for their last few years of life. Don't overlook them! Also, there are some black dogs from Black Dog Animal Rescue who are offered for a reduced adoption fee,
BDAR is participating in the month long adoption promotion dedicated to increasing awareness and adoptions of black cats and dogs. Our black and mostly black adult dogs will be available for a reduced-adoption fee of $100 for the month of May. Although they are every bit as sweet and adorable as other animals, pets in black often wait longer for homes than their lighter-colored pals. Best Friends created the Back in Black adoption promotion to shine a spotlight on these often-overlooked pets and help them find good homes. You can help by sponsoring the adoption fee for a black or mostly black dog or sharing adoption listings for featured dogs on your social media sites!

OTHER: In critical need of help but does not ft in another category (i.e., hit by car, needs donations for emergen- cy surgery). UPDATE: Good news. May 5, 2014 e-WOOF is a bi-monthly e-newsletter produced by a small group of Wyoming dog rescuers in an effort to high- light shelter dogs in critical need of help. e-WOOF spotlights many dogs that face euthanasia within days unless they are rescued, fostered, or adopted. Transport can be arranged, in most cases, to approved adoptive or foster homes or rescue organizations. Please help us! These are good, healthy, happy, lov- ing dogs that are out of luck and out of time. We urge you to crosspost to e-mail lists and Web groups, forward to friends, send to co-workers, and share with family. We hope our efforts, combined with yours, will save many lives. He ended up at the shelter as a product of divorce; neither of the people could fnd a place where they could take him. He has been around other dogs, cats, and children his whole life and is wonderful with all of them. He does tend to get a little excited when he is off-leash and can get rough with other dogs, but if he stays on-leash he is just fne. He would be an ideal family dog, as he has had quite a bit of training and is also very gentle!
BUDDY is a senior Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. He is great with other dogs and cats. He is a wonderful little dog with no bad habits that we know of! He had been adopted out for a while but came back because his adopter ended up being very allergic to him, and she had nothing but wonderful things to say about this sweet little guy! He would be great in pretty much any type of home!
DAPHNE is a 3 year old Kelpie mix. This little girl is full of fun and energy. She is fantastic with children of all ages, but would be best in a home without other dogs or cats. She is quite acrobatic, and can jump very tall fences. In her previous home, she only had a very small yard, so she may not try to escape if she had the room to run that she deserves. She is very sweet and would be a great family dog! ____________ Black Dog Animal Rescue - Cheyenne, WY Contact: 307-214-6600 or bdar@bdar.org TULI knows several commands, is completely housetrained, likes to ride in the car, and is reliable with free roam in the house. Looking for an experienced Boxer lover who will enjoy these two characters and provide a safe, loving home. Bailey (white Boxer) is 7 years old and Murphy (fawn Boxer) is 9 years old. Both are spayed, have complete health exams, are heart worm negative, have microchips, and are current on vaccinations. They are needing a retirement home TOGETHER. They have lived with children, are still lively, and alert. However, they are no longer athletes. Both have old ACL injuries, now with some arthritis. No major health issues or expenses. Both are on weight- watchers, doing well. They have GREAT dispositions, are happy souls who need daily attention, big hugs, brushing, etc. ____________ The Dog and Cat Shelter, Inc. -- Sheridan, WY Contact: 307-674-7694 or dogncat@fberpipe.net TROUT: Im a 2-year-old female, white and brown, Pit Bull mix. Im totally house-trained and I do get along with other dogs but am unsure about cats. I dont do well on a leash but with a little training and nurture I am sure I can master it. Im very friendly and love to be petted and love to give and receive affection. I love people and would do great in a home with older children. Please come up and see me sometime so I can show off my wonderful qualities. I am spayed, current on vaccinations, and will be microchipped before adoption. TEMBLO is a one-year-old Shepherd/Saint Bernard mix. He is a playful superstar who loves the outdoors. Temblo seems to be the dominant alpha male around his dog friends but has been settled down by one of his playmates here at the shelter. He would do okay in a home with a young or mellow dog, but has played very well with a very active lab. Temblo is house broken but he shouldnt live around farm birds, as he has a fond taste for them. If your family loves going on adventures and wants a best friend to join in on the fun, you might be the perfect match for Temblo. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and will be microchipped before adoption. ____________ Ted Needs A Home! Contact: Janet at golfrescuedogs@hotmail.com or 308-660-3741 TED is a beautiful 1.5-year-old Border Collie who was adopted from the North Platte animal shelter, but was returned due to separation anxiety. He is currently being boarded and is on anxiety medication. The boarding staff loves him and reports he is an amazing, loving dog. He just cant be left alone! He would be ideal for someone who is home regularly, can take their dog to work with them, or has some experience dealing with separation anxiety issues and can help Ted cope. He is neutered and current on vaccinations. He is good with other dogs and kids, but cats are unknown.
