SOCCER AID 2014 MASCOT PRIZE EXPERIENCE – GUIDANCE AND TERMS

of the World team at this year’s Soccer Aid!”

PRIZE DETAILS:

 Each Soccer Aid 2014 Mascot Prize Experience comprises of 3 (three) tickets (one for the winning
entrant, one for the winning entrant’s nominated child and one for the winning entrant’s guest) to
attend the Soccer Aid 2014 event on 8 June 2014 at Old Trafford, Manchester. M16 0RA with the
nominated child appearing as a player mascot wearing branded kit during the Soccer Aid event and
walking onto the pitch hand-in-hand with one of the players participating in the match (herein
referred to as the “Prize”).

CLOSING DATE:

 Entries must be submitted no later than Monday 23
rd
May 2014 (the “Closing Date”)


SPECIFIC COMPETITION ENTRY CRITERIA:

In order to participate in the Soccer Aid 2014 Mascot Prize Experience (the “Promotion”), entrants must
comply with the following entry criteria:

1. Entrants must be aged 18 (eighteen) years old or over and be a resident of the United Kingdom, the
Isle of Man or the Channel Islands.
2. The entrant must have a child aged between 7(seven) and 10 (ten) years old on 8 June 2014 (the
“Nominated Child”) (NOTE: children outside of this age limit are not be eligible to participate in the
Promotion).
3. The entrant must submit only one entry for the Promotion. Multiple entries may lead to
disqualification.
4. If an entrant is selected as a winning entrant (the “Winner”) they together with the Nominated Child
and the remaining guest of the Winner must be available to attend the Soccer Aid 2014 event (the
“Event”) on Sunday 8
th
June 2014 at Old Trafford, Manchester M16 0RA (the “Venue”).
5. The Winner must be (and also be able to prove that they are) the parent or legal guardian of the
Nominated Child (failure to do so may lead to forfeiture of the Prize).
6. The Prize comprises up to 3 tickets for the Event, two of which MUST be used by the Nominated Child
and accompanying parent/guardian.
7. Entries must be submitted by the Closing Date (the Winner will be notified no later than 2 June 2014
with an announcement taking place on the same day);
8. Entrants must not be currently employed by Endemol UK Ltd or Liverpool Echo or ITV PLC or any of
the ITV group of companies or UNICEF or any other company or organisation associated with the
Promotion.
9. Within 48 hours of the Promoter (as defined within the Additional Terms and Information) confirming
the winners of the Promotion, the Winner must make available to the Promoter a copy of his/her own
valid passport and the same for the Nominated Child.
10. Within 48 hours of the Promoter confirming the Winner of the Promotion, the Winner must provide
the Promoter with details of the Nominated Child’s clothes size.
11. The Winner must ensure that the Nominated Child is accompanied by at least one of his/her parent(s)
or guardian(s) on the day of the Event and be available from 5:00pm – 10:00pm on this day;
12. All entrants into the Promotion accept that by entering the Promotion they agree to comply with
these criteria, the Additional Terms and Information (as set out below) and any other terms as shall
be applicable.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND INFORMATION:

1. The Promotion is being run by Endemol UK Ltd of Shepherds Building Central, Charecroft Way,
Shepherds Bush, London W14 0EE and Liverpool Echo (jointly and severally referred to as the
“Promoter”)
2. For the purposes of this Promotion, there is TWO prize are available to be won;
3. No transport or accommodation is included in the Promotion. All other costs and expenses in taking
up the prize, including but not limited to, spending money as required, are the Winner’s (and his/her
guest’s) own. The prize is as stated and nothing else is included.
4. Entries received after the Closing Date will not be considered.
5. The Winner’s Nominated Child will walk onto the pitch hand-in hand with one of the players
participating in the Event.
6. The parent(s)/guardian(s) of the Nominated Child will NOT be able to accompany the child into the
changing rooms, tunnel or on to the pitch.
7. The Promoter will provide a branded kit for the Nominated Child to wear on the pitch (T-shirt, shorts,
socks) on the day of the Event.
8. The Nominated Child will be required to bring their own clean white sport shoes (unbranded or Nike
is preferable).
9. The Nominated Child must be physically and mentally able to perform the activity required.
10. The Nominated Child will need to understand English.
11. Each parent or guardian will need to sign relevant waivers and release forms allowing
a. two named Event chaperones, and/or Manchester United club chaperones to escort the
Nominated Child around the stadium on day in order for the Nominated Child to perform
his/her duties; and
b. the Nominated Child to be photographed and filmed as part of the programme “Soccer Aid
2014” transmitting live on ITV on 8 June 2014 which Endemol UK Ltd intends but does not
undertake to produce.
12. The Prize is date and event specific and cannot be transferred or postponed to a later date.
13. The Winner will need to confirm within 48 hours of being notified their wish to take up the Prize.
14. Failure to take up the Prize or attend the Event will result in the Prize being forfeit and the Promoter
shall at its absolute discretion award the Prize to another selected winner without any liability to the
Winner.
15. If the Event is cancelled for reasons outside the Promoter’s control or for reasons related to health
and safety, there will be no rescheduling of the Event (unless otherwise notified) and tickets will
become void and will not be exchanged for any other prize(s).
16. The Winner, the Nominated Child and any other guest must keep their assigned tickets with them at
all times during the day of the Event.
17. The Winner agrees to take part in the Promotion at their own risk and the Promoter accepts no
liability with regard to such prize whatsoever. The Promoter will have no liability in relation to the
conduct of the Winner or their guest or the Nominated Child, nor in connection with any
circumstances outside its control with respect to the prize once delivered to the Winner. All Winners
are subject to the policies and terms and conditions of any and all third parties involved in the
fulfilment of the Prize. Any terms and conditions applicable to the prizes have been provided to the
fullest extent possible;
18. The Winner, the Nominated Child and the guest must abide by the Venue’s terms and conditions of
the tickets which form part of the Prize, located at:

19. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry into the Event to any person regardless if they have a
valid ticket.
20. PLEASE NOTE: flash photography will be used throughout the duration of the Event.
21. The Winner, the Nominated Child and/or guest agree to participate in related publicity accompanying
or resulting from the promotion without further recompense. This may include but is not limited to
photographs taken which may be used for publicity purposes and appearance on the ITV television
programme entitled “Soccer Aid” which will be showcasing the Event live on 8 June 2014. By entering
this Promotion, the Winner (both for him/herself and their Nominated Child) and his/her guest grants
the Promoter the absolute and irrevocable right and permission to use, publish, publicly display,
perform, transmit, exhibit and reproduce their name, statements, video, voice, recordings, interviews,
photographs or other visual or audible representations or likeness, in whole or in part, individually or
in conjunction with other material, including without limitation, text, photographs or images in any
medium (whether now known or hereafter invented) including, but not limited to the internet and
other electronic and social media and for any and all purposes, publicity, promotion, packaging and
trade throughout the world without restriction as to manner, frequency or duration of use or any
other purpose whatsoever in connection with this promotion or in connection with the marketing of
the products of the Promoter, or otherwise. The Winner and guest further agree that all materials
produced pursuant to the rights set out above shall and will remain the property of Endemol UK
Limited.
22. The Sale, transfer or exchange of any part of the Prize is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to sell,
transfer or exchange any element of the Prize will result in the Prize being withdrawn by the
Promoter and the Prize will be declared null and void.
23. The Winner and the Nominated Child must make themselves known and report in to Lisa Barlow at
Group Property Services Reception at Old Trafford (located on the corner of the South & West Stand)
no later than 5:00pm on 8 June 2014. The remaining guest will need to go directly to the seats in the
stands as specified on the tickets.
24. Food and drink will only be provided to the Nominated Child and one of the parents accompanying
the Nominated child.
25. The Nominated Child and their parent/guardian will be taken to the changing rooms to change into
the appropriate team kit and then be escorted down to the tunnel, where the Nominated Child will
have a briefing and meet some of the players participating in the Event.
26. The identity of the football player who the Nominated Child will accompany on to the pitch will be
decided at the sole discretion of the Promoter.
27. After walking out to the pitch and the team line up process has been completed, the Winner’s
Nominated Child will be escorted back to the seats within the stands where the other guest of the
Winner will be waiting and everyone will be able to watch the Event together.
28. The Winner’s Nominated Child will be able to retain their team kits. The Winner is advised, however,
to ensure that the Nominated Child has something warm to wear for when they return to the stands.
29. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and the winners and to refuse to award a prize or
withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach
of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of this Promotion's entry requirements
or otherwise where an entrant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won
using fraudulent means.
30. The Promoter reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions or cancel the Promotion at any
stage in the event of circumstances arising beyond its control and only where circumstances make
this unavoidable but will use all reasonable endeavours to minimise the effect to participants to avoid
undue disappointment.
31. Entrants' personal data shall be processed only for the purpose of their participation in this
Promotion and will only be retained as long as necessary for such purpose. By participating in the
Promotion, entrants consent that their (and the Nominated Child’s and their guest’s) personal data
may, for the same purpose as stated above, also be transferred to Promoter's third party contractors
necessary to process entrants' participation in the Promotion.

GENERAL TERMS:

1. These terms (the “Terms and Conditions”) apply to the Soccer Aid 2014 Mascot Prize Experience
Competition (the “Promotion”) which is administered by Endemol UK Limited and Liverpool Echo
(with the foregoing parties jointly and severally referred to as the “Promoter”)

2. These Terms and Conditions should be read alongside, and are in addition to the specific entry criteria
and any other additional terms which are mentioned at point of interaction, in any prize draw
promotion of or messages about that competition or prize draw (the “Specific Competition Criteria”).

3. If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any Specific Competition
Criteria, the Terms and Conditions will prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.

4. If entrants do not agree with any of the Terms and Conditions and/or any Specific Competition
Criteria then entrants should not take part in the competition or prize draw.

5. The Terms and Conditions may be amended at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be
posted on the platform where the Promotion is being hosted (the “Hosting Platform”).

6. It is entrants’ responsibility to ensure that they review these Terms and Conditions and the Specific
Competition Criteria before entering any the Promotion.

7. These Terms and Conditions will apply to the Promotion.

ELIGIBILITY

8. Entrants must meet the eligibility requirements as specified in the Specific Competition Criteria.
Failure to meet the eligibility requirements will result in an entry being invalid and/or forfeiture of any
prize.

9. Employees and members of their immediate families (including any live-in partner) of the Promoter,
companies within the Endemol UK Ltd group of companies and any of their subsidiaries and/or
agencies associated with this Promotion, including the provider of the prize or any person connected
with the administration or otherwise of the Promotion and/or prize where applicable, are ineligible to
enter. Any such entries are invalid.

10. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to ask for evidence to verify the age, identity
and/or eligibility of an entrant (and their guests) at any time, and to use any channels and methods
available to carry out checks of any details provided. The Promoter may withhold delivery of a prize
until it has received such evidence from the winner and failure to provide such evidence in a timely
manner may result in forfeiture of the prize.

ENTRY

11. The opening and closing date and time for entries is as indicated in the Specific Competition Criteria.
Any entries received before or after these times will not be accepted. Any entries received before the
opening date and time may count towards any applicable cap on entries specified in the Specific
Competition Criteria.

12. In respect of the Promotion, entrants simply need to submit the information as indicated in the
Specific Competition Criteria.

13. Entrants, as shall be specified within the Specific Competition Criteria, may be required to provide
their full name, full contact telephone number (including area code) or other method of contact (if
applicable), email address and any other information as specified at the time of entering the
promotion. This information cannot be amended once an entrant has entered the Promotion.

14. Entrants are required to follow the instructions on the Hosting Platform as indicated in the Specific
Competition Criteria. There is no charge for website entries but internet service providers’ fees may
apply.

15. Entries must not be sent in through agents, third parties or on behalf of another person. Bulk entries
are void and cannot be accepted.

16. Any entries which are above the maximum number of entries for each method of entry as specified in
the Specific Competition Criteria or which are incomplete, without all the required information,
inaudible, incomprehensible, made or received after the deadline for receiving entries has passed or
which are not received by the Promoter or are not otherwise in accordance with the Terms and
Conditions are invalid and will be discounted.

17. In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding or dispute concerning the correctness or
acceptability of any answers given by entrants, or the operation of any part of the promotion,
network or phone system, the decision of the Promoter shall be final.

THE PRIZE(S)

18. The prize shall be as specified in the Specific Competition Criteria. Unless otherwise stated in the
Specific Competition Criteria only one entrant per competition/prize draw is permissible.

19. The prize is subject to availability and to winner confirmation, i.e. the Promoter has managed to
contact the winner and received confirmation of eligibility. The prize is also subject to the terms and
conditions of the prize provider, their agents, and where applicable to the terms of the venue. The
Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative product if necessary at the
Promoters' discretion.

20. Where the prize necessitates travel and/or attending an event on a specific date, the winner must be
available on the date(s) specified by the Promoter in the Specific Competition Criteria and no
alternative dates will be available.

21. Where the prize and/or information relating to the prize is to be provided directly to the winner by a
third party, the winner (and where applicable, their companion(s)) is (are) required to comply with all
instructions and necessary requirements as may be specified by the third party to receive and/or take
up the prize, including but not limited to contacting such third party within specified time frames,
adhering to the itinerary as specified, paying any required charges and/or costs which are not
included in the prize, completing any required forms including but not limited to booking forms and
delivering any required documentation to that third party, including but not limited to proof of
identification. The Promoter will accept no responsibility and will not be liable to the winner or any
other persons where the winner fails to comply with such instructions and such failure may result in
forfeiture of the prize.

22. The winner (and where applicable, their companion(s)) may be required to provide their signature as
proof of their agreement to relevant waivers, releases and/or consents when taking up the prize.
Failure to sign any relevant documentation may result in forfeiture of the prize.

23. The prize excludes all other costs and arrangements not expressly included in the prize (as stated in
the Specific Competition Criteria). Additional charges and expenses incurred for goods, services,
attractions, facilities, upgrades, activities and events not expressly included in the prize are payable
solely by the winner (and where applicable their companion(s)). The Promoter will not be held liable
where such charges and/or expenses are incurred, and no refund or reimbursement will be made. The
Promoter will accept no responsibility where the winner is unable to pay in full, any such charges
and/or expenses as incurred.

24. No cash equivalent (where applicable) or alternative prize will be given at the request of the winner
and the prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. However, the Promoter reserves the right to
change the prize or any part of the prize (to an alternative prize or part of the prize of equal or greater
value) for any reason in its sole discretion including without limitation due to circumstances beyond
its control or if any part of the prize becomes unavailable. If for any reason the winner chooses not to
take up the prize or any part of the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to ask the winner to confirm
this in writing and the Promoter will be able to retain or dispose of the prize at its own discretion.

25. The Promoter may refuse to provide a prize, or seek its recovery, in the event of non-entitlement
under the Terms and Conditions or an entrant's breach of the Terms and Conditions, fraud or
dishonesty, including but not limited to the use of technology which enables an entrant to evade
applicable charges when entering the promotion.

26. The Promoter or prize provider(s) endeavour to deliver the prize to the winner in accordance with the
Specific Competition Criteria, with the exception that where the prize is time critical the Promoter or
the prize provider(s) endeavour to deliver the prize to the winner as soon as reasonably practicable
before the necessary time to take up the prize. The Promoter, prize provider and their agents will not
be liable where a prize has been lost or stolen following delivery and such prize will not be replaced.

SELECTION OF THE WINNER

27. Where the winner is randomly selected, the draw for the winner will take place on the date indicated
in the Specific Competition Criteria. Unless stated otherwise in the Specific Competition Criteria, the
winner will be the first entry drawn at random from all valid entries, subject to eligibility and winner
confirmation.

28. The winner will be contacted as soon as reasonably practicable on or after the draw date or judging
date (as appropriate) as indicated in the Specific Competition Criteria. Reasonable efforts will be
made to contact a winner using the contact details provided when entering the promotion or such
other method of contact deemed appropriate by the Promoter in its sole discretion in the
circumstances.

29. In the event that the winner cannot be contacted or successful contact is not made within the time
periods set out in the Specific Competition Criteria or if the winner fails to provide an address for
delivery of the prize or fails to meet any of the eligibility requirements or is otherwise unable to
comply with the Terms and Conditions, this may result in forfeiture of the prize and the Promoter
reserves the right to disqualify that entrant (without further liability to that entrant) and offer the
prize to the next eligible entrant and thereafter until a winner is found.

30. Any entrant and/or winner must comply with any directions given to him or her by the Promoter,
prize provider(s) and/or their agents and with all relevant laws, rules and regulations, restrictions and
itinerary. Failure to comply with instructions, itineraries, rules, restrictions, requirements, laws and
guidelines may result in an invalid entry and/or forfeiture of the prize.

LIABILITY

31. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any fault, malfunction, damage, loss or
disappointment suffered by an entrant or participant howsoever arising from participating in a
competition or prize draw or from accepting any prize whether due to any error, omission or other
cause by the Promoter or its or their employees, agents or others.

32. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any damage or loss caused to any entrant, participant or
winner save that nothing in the Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit the Promoter’s liability for
death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud.

33. The Promoter reserves the right to amend any element of a competition or prize draw for reasons
beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to the unavailability of the competition or
prize draw entry platform before the closing date, or for strike, lock-out, labour dispute, illness, act of
God, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, war, riot, civil commotion, accident, epidemic or
pandemic, malicious damage, fire, flood and/or storm, compliance with law or governmental order,
rule, regulation or direction, breakdown of plant, machinery or transportation. The Promoter is not
responsible for any loss or damage caused to entrants as a result of any of these occurrences.

34. The Promoter does not promise that the services relating to a competition or prize draw will be free
from errors or omissions or that they will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating
condition. These services may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of any
problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, software, or for any technical
malfunction or failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons reasonably beyond the control of the
Promoter. The Promoter will not be liable to any entrant, participant or winner or to any other
person in the event that any entry is lost, delayed or not properly received, registered or recorded or
where all or any part of the service relating to a competition or prize draw is discontinued, modified
or changed in any way.

35. Entrants agree to reimburse the Promoter in respect of any damages suffered by the Promoter or any
losses by the Promoter resulting from any claim made by a third party in each case in respect of any
matter arising from the entrant’s use of the services relating to the competition or prize draw in
breach of the Terms and Conditions or from the any entrant’s violation of any applicable law or
regulation.

36. The Promoter will not be liable to reimburse the cost or expenses incurred in making a competition or
prize draw entry or participating in a vote or poll where applicable.

37. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any incorrectly addressed or undelivered competition
or prize draw entries or for any disruption, delay or misdirection of such entries.

PRIVACY

38. Information and data ("personal data") which is provided by any entrant will be held by the Promoter
and may be used by the Promoter, their service providers, network operators, suppliers and
contractors for the purposes of administering and fulfilling the competition or prize draw and in
connection with any costs associated with entry to the competition or prize draw.

39. Any personal data will be used in accordance with the Hosting Platform’s privacy policy.

40. The winner of a competition or prize draw may be required to participate in publicity. The Promoter
(or any third party nominated by the Promoter) may exercise its sole discretion to use the winner’s
(and if applicable their companions’) name and image and their comments relating to the prize and
promotion experience for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media
worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid.

GENERAL

41. Entrants agree that these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance
with English law. Entrants also agree, to submit to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts
as regards any claim or matter arising under these terms of use.
