My paper

Many scholars believe that fuel consumption
will increase ( Halley, 2008).
It is likely that “by the year 2030 fuel
consumption will have doubled” (Halley,
2008, p. 378).
Halley (2008) continues by saying “the
average American will continue to use his/
her car 2 times/day” (p. 120).
If you are
paraphrasing, you only
need the author and
date.
If you use the author
as part of the
sentence, put the
author and date and
then the page
number at the end
(if it’s a quote)
If you directly quote,
you need the author,
date and page number

Johnson (2008) however believes that
due to outsourcing, HR professionals will
be less needed in the coming years. He
writes, “there will be a significant
decline in the profession” (Johnson,
2008, p.30).
