We brought the pioneering Education That Pays For Itself model to over 50
countries worldwide, reaching over 30,000 beneficiaries

What are the results? Case study of Nicaragua
In 2009 we partnered with FREE

in Nicaragua to
support the development of La Bastilla Agricultural
High School

Business plan for 7 initiatives were written and
implemented eco hotel, egg production, etc.

School is in its 4

year and is now generating 70% of its
running costs from sales in the school business will
become self sustaining in 2016

Impact evaluation to assess progress:
79% students actively support families through
skills they learn at La Bastilla
93% of graduates are studying at university, another
technical school or following a professional path

Currently we have a turnover of $450,000 96% directed to projects
Over $2,500,000 additional school income has been generated by school
enterprises supported by Teach a Man to Fish
Our global network has over 4,000 members, 60% of which have started
income-generating activities
School Enterprise Challenge business plan competition has been running for
3 years 1,100 schools signed up from over 81 countries in 2013
We work directly with project partners in Uganda, Tanzania, Afghanistan,
Nicaragua and Honduras
