GOVERNMENTS RESPONSE TO DEFENDANTS SEVERANCE MOTIONS
The defendants have all filed motions for severance on numerous grounds. While the
government does not believe many of these claims have merit, the defendants have raised a
colorable claim under Bruton v. United States, 391 U.S. 23 (1968), and Crawford v. Washington,
541 U.S. 36 (2004). Accordingly, the government will not be opposing these motions.
