EXPERIENCE: August 2009-October 2009 Swan Housing Association Graduate Asset Management I worked in a housing association alongside the Data Management Manger. We were working on a leasehold data cleansing project in which we were liaising with the leasehold department. I carried out relevant research concerning leasehold information on Swans 17,000 households and managed Swan’s responsibilities and rights over these. I then put this confidential residential information onto databases known as CM, UH and rooftop so that property information is kept up to date. My other duties included answering telephone calls from swan residents regarding issues such as repair enquires and complaints and resolving these in the most effective manner. I handled the customer satisfaction survey calls in which consecutively I had exceeded the monthly target. Also I calculated and analysed the monthly key performance indicators using raw data and correct formulas on Microsoft Excel for the housing repair appointments made and kept.

East London Business Alliance Employability Training I went on a 2 week employability training course as part of the graduate asset management role. I learnt how to improve and write a better CV and covering letter. I was also taught how to succeed at interviews by having mock interviews and then receiving constructive feedback on how to improve, professional letter writing skills, how to deliver presentations and application form techniques such as writing personal statements.

Imperial Colleges Student Associate Scheme School Activity Worker I was awarded a fifteen day placement by this institution at a secondary school in London. I was working alongside qualified teachers in providing support to secondary pupils of all abilities in Mathematics; I often taught mathematics lessons, invigilated and marked mock GCSE papers. I acted as a positive role model by acting responsibly and gave a first hand view of the benefits of Higher Education. I helped the pupils to acquire and develop study skills to improve their effectiveness of their application to study. I was mainly checking through balance sheets, analysing profit and loss statements, seeing if the accounts are up to date and entering data into Excel. SOCIAL ACTIVITIES & ACHIEVMENTS I regularly engage in activities such as horse riding, swimming and playing badminton which keep me mentally and physically active. Economics is based on a changing environment hence I read The Economist as part of my interest and to keep on track with the current issues.
