Act 1 Scene 3
An assembly line at the Factory. Montage. Various mechanical levers, ramps, buttons, etc. with giant test tubes and pills. Within the test tubes
pills are children, babies, and fetuses in various stages of devlopment. Older children and teens are also seen as part of the montage. White
clad nurses and technicians handle each product. A population counter set at around 1.2 million counts the population numbers of the USSA.
An almost clownlike maniacal medical staff, clown-like. Nightmarish mechanical mayhem sets the story of a dystopian future.
The NURSE, LUCINDE, and LIBERTARIA are part of the montage. LIBERTARIA is on one of the ramps, being transportated through the
Factory while LUCINDE seems to be far away from the mayhem. The NURSE, a few years younger, plays her role well, managing the exchange
of Factory products for money.
At the end, the pills are swallowed symbolically by the COLLECTIVE.

Lost Confession Introduction
Act III Scene 2 "Tunnel"
Libertaria longs for the Father and Mother that she never knew. She sings alone in a tunnel in the
Underground, overwhelmed by the rigidity and structure of Simeon's society. Simeon continues
the militaristic mantras of the Underground. Perhaps he can see her, perhaps he is far away, deep in
the heart of the Underground, Libertaria doesn't know. What she does know is that the voice of
Simeon contrasts with the cries from the Nurse, who raised her from birth and is now missing,
lost or dead in the Factory.
