What is The Yak?

The Yak is our Mission Trip to the Yakama Indian Reservation. Here we will partner with Youthworks! to come alongside people in Yakima to work and sweat and play!

We will focus on two primary areas of ministry:

home improvement and children. Our work projects include minor home repair and painting projects. These work projects go a long way in bringing hope and a chance to share the love of God with some people in need.

With the children, we will do a VBS style program led by you and offer them games, crafts, skits, songs and lessons that will help them learn more about Jesus.

We’ve started to alternate our Mission Trips. Two

years ago was the first year we went on The Yak and this last year we went back to Gleanings where we prepared food for missionaries to then take and use

to share the love of Christ.

This year is our

opportunity to put on different shoes and be that missionary. This summer we have a chance to go and physically care for God’s people.

So are you ready?

Do you want to be a part of

something? You have the whole summer to yourself, how about giving a week back to Him?

Can’t wait to see ya at The Yak!

What does it take to be a part of the 2010 Middle School Mission Trip?
