Sample Credits

This album consists almost entirely of samples, or short audio clips that have been worked into a
larger composition. Most of the samples are from www.freesound.org and are therefore (as of November
2009) licensed under the Creative Commons Sampling Plus 1.0 license, which means they can be used for
any commercial or noncommercial purpose, as long as the creator of each sample is given credit, hence
this document. Any samples not listed here are either created by me or are royalty-free.
The songs that ended up on this album were produced over a period of about three-and-a-half
years, in three different states, and on at least four different computers. On top of that, as most of them
were being produced, I had no intention of ever releasing them on an album. What this amounts to, in
addition to a stylistically diverse album, is that some of the samples I used simply could not be identified.
Though I have made every possible effort to identify the origin of each and every sample heard on this
album, some samples remain unaccounted for. Such samples are specifically noted, and this document will
be updated in the event that I determine the origin of such samples.

NOTE: for each sample from freesound.org, I have here listed not only the user name, as required, but the
specific file ID of each sample. You can use this to quickly locate the exact sample I used by adding the
number to the end of the following URL (in place of the “XXXXX”):

08 / A Specter in the Rafters
Note: this is the oldest song on this album, and was created on my cousin's computer in another state,
probably about 3½ years before this album's release (late 2005/early '06) . It was made in Sonic Foundry's
ACID (a version that was old even at the time, as Sony bought ACID in 2003), almost entirely with what I
believe to be loops that came with the software.

This being another very old track, I honestly don't know where any of these samples came from; I know I
didn't make any of them, and I doubt any of them came from freesound either, as I don't think I had
discovered it by the time I made this.
