We made it to Costa Rica for
language school and are
getting settled in our place.
We have seen more answers
to prayer in the last month
than I can count!
That were 100% fully funded

Rebecca will be able to find a
doctor soon and get things
set up for Coltons arrival.
We will be able to take care
of the paperwork on this side
for the student visa now.
That we will seize the
opportunities for outreach
and for practicing Spanish.
You dont know how long Ive sat here thinking about what to write with tears in
my eyes as my mind goes over the blessings God has poured out over us lately. We
made it to language school! If only I had been this excited about learning Spanish
the first several times I had Spanish classes maybe I wouldnt need to study it now.
We arrived on the 10
th
and have had a few days now to get settled in at our
apartment and learn our way around town. It feels good to be settled!
I dont want to be settled too much though. Let me explain what I mean. We are
within walking distance of the school and there are a lot of English speaking
missionaries all around this neighborhood who are here to learn Spanish. It would
be easy to get settled in and get comfortable hanging out at the school all the time
with like-minded believers and never engaging the lost world around us. We
Christians seem to do that and Im no exception. My heart (and Gods heart) is
pulling me in a different direction though. You see, there is this park right across
the street from us. Every day there are tons of people out there hanging out playing
soccer, skateboarding, and shooting hoops. Chances are most of them dont know
the Hope found in Christ. I want to know those guys and I want them to know me,
not for popularity but because I want them to know Jesus. I cant play soccer. I foul
too much to play basketball, and if you ever see me on a skateboard RUN! I dont
know how its going to happen but at the end of language school Im determined
that Ill be able to walk by that park and know every persons name in it. I can just
picture a Bible study at a picnic table. Pray for open hearts and athletic feet.
Being here and talking about this is only possible because of another blessing.
God has used you to bring us to 100% fully funded in support coming in each month.
That is our living expenses, insurance, work fund, everything! Prayer works! It has
been so exciting to get to watch God put this team together. Thank you for being
on it. Now, lets not foul out. :) PS Please note the phone number change below.
