Thirty Years in Concord

Official Statement of Trinity Baptist Church

Trinity Baptist Church is obligated to correct the misstatements of the past coverage of this horrible event.
We do not intend to make any further comments as we seek to respect the court process.
"When the former leadership of Trinity Baptist Church received knowledge of the sexual assault of the alleged victim,
they immediately reported the crime in accordance with the laws of the State of New Hampshire.
Recent reports concerning the 1997 leadership of Trinity Baptist Church and its cooperation with the Concord Police
Department have been inaccurate and misleading.
In the following weeks there were multiple documented calls made to the Concord Police Department investigators who
were leading the investigation at that time. These investigators were told of the location of the young woman so that she
could be reached and interviewed.
Its important to note that in the 13 years following this appalling crime, there has never been one documented call to
Trinity Baptist Church seeking the current location of the alleged victim nor a desire to further the investigation.
Her location was never a secret and no efforts were ever made to withhold her contact information or hinder any
Trinity Baptist Church supports and appreciates the current investigative unit's pursuit of justice. Trinity Baptist Church
has demonstrated in the past and continues to demonstrate under the present leadership that it desires to cooperate
fully with the authorities.
Trinity Baptist Church was the first to report this crime in 1997 as well as the only one to give repeated reminders to the
Concord Police Department. We continue to be committed to assisting in the investigation in any way possible."
