James C. Wofford, a 3-time Olympian, is one of the best-known Eventing trainers in the world today.
Wofford successfully represented the United States in international competition for over 20 years until his
retirement from competing in 1986. He was on the 1968 and 1972 Olympic teams, and named to the Olympic
team in 1980, winning 2 Team Silver medals and one individual Silver medal. He also competed in the 1970 and
1978 World Championships, winning Bronze individual and team medals. He won the US National
Championships 5 times, on 5 different horses, and won or placed at many competitions abroad between 1959
and 1986. He was also an active competitor in steeplechase races, rode in numerous horse shows, including
the prestigious Upperville Horse Show, and fox hunted. Riders that Jimmy coaches or are graduates of his
program have populated U.S. Eventing Team every year since his retirement from competing. Some of his
books include Training the Three-Day Event Horse and Rider, Modern Gymnastics:
Systematic Training for the Jumping Horse and Cross Country With Jim Wofford. He was
inducted into the USEA Hall of Fame in 2003 and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the United States
Equestrian Federation in December 2011. You can read more about him at

Clinic Fees: $350.00
Stabling: $ 50.00 for the weekend will be off-site but within 2 miles of Redtail
Ridge Farm, spacious (gravel) area for day trailer parking at Redtail Ridge, easy in and
out
Auditors: $ 25.00/day, $40.00 for weekend with advance purchase
The Clinic will host 24 riders maximum, groups will contain no more than 8 riders and
be divided by experience level, please be candid on the entry form!
Schedules and ride times will be emailed to all participants no later than Thursday
June 19
th
; other pertinent information for riders and pre-paid auditors will be emailed
same day.
We anticipate that the clinic will begin at 8:00 AM both days, Saturday will begin with a
Q&A session with Jimmy followed by the first group to ride at 9:00 AM ~ Sundays first
group will ride at 8:00 AM.
Food/Drinks will be available on grounds
