Authorized Fire
There have been many authentic moves of God throughout history. One that comes to mind is the Cane
Ridge Revival of 1800. The power of God moved so mightily among some Presbyterian ministers during a
sacramental meeting that services were extended for weeks. Many people from all denominations
flooded the area in so much that at times there were over 25,000 people attending the meeting!
Thousand of people came to Jesus, and hundreds laid slain in the Spirit. It was said that so many people
laid on the ground before the Lord all at once that it looked like men slain on a battle field! It was also
said that at times when thousands were in unity in worship all would break out into loud cries, shouts,
and praises to the Lord and could literally be heard for miles around! Thats what I call "Authorized Fire".
In Lev 9:23-10:1, we read some dynamic verses and can learn multiple principles about the fire of God.
In fact, we can read where the authentic authorized fire of God comes from and where is doesn't. Lets
take a look.
(v.23) Moses and Aaron then went into the Tent of Meeting. When they came out, they blessed the
people; and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people. (v.24) Fire came out from the presence of
the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the alter. And when all the people
saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown. (10:1) Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers,
put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord.
In this story there are two types of fire. The first, which came from the presence of the Lord, it
consumed the burnt offerings and fat portions on the alter. Also, it caused unspeakable joy and praise
among the people in such a great way that they all fell facedownthis was a good service or session. If it
were in modern times it would have been an exhilarating worship service where the presence of God
would have be so thick and heavy, that the preacher could only say a few words then lay down on the
platform while people worshipped the Lord through their praises, shouts, dancing, tears, and laying
facedown. I love it when this happens. This is the fire that only come out of one place, (v.24) Fire came
out from the presence of the Lord... .
The second, was a fire that was put in censers by Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu. But notice it did not
come from the presence of the Lord; rather, it was a man made, self produced fire. It could of looked,
smelled, moved, and made the same noise as the fire they just witness that came out of the presence
and glory of the Lord, yet it wasn't. What they offered was an unauthorized fire, and they were
terminated because of this act. I can only imagine what they were thinking, but maybe they saw their
father Aaron being used as an instrument with Moses to release a blessing on the people. From this, the
glory of the Lord appeared in such a strong way that the fire of God was evoked on the earth, and many
people shouted for joy, and they thought to themselves, "There are two of them and there is two of us;
we need this power, lets get some fire".
You see, there is reserved revival fire in heaven that God wants to pour out on the earth, and on His
people, to cause such an awe and ultimate Kingdom culture in every sphere of society like the fire that
Moses and Aaron were a part of. It is authorized fire, and this is the only fire and glory that is going to
change your life, situation, and cause such a miraculous release to everyone around you! This is the fire
and glory that transformed millions and change me, a drug dealer and user, into a raw radical lover of
Jesus and son of God. This is the fire of God that comes out of His presence and glory, and It is only
reserved for those that will say, "I want the authentic raw power of God; I want the greater glory!
But the only place this unique holy fire comes from is the presence of His Glory. Moses and Aaron literal
just came out of the secret place, the Tent of Meeting. They were personally experiencing the presence
of Yahweh, and it was from this realm they blessed the people. We can only wholeheartedly bless or
minister to people by first being in the Tent of Meetingthe secret place. It is out of this realm the
blessing is extended for Moses and Aaron, and this same goes for us. Moses and Aaron blessed them
and from the blessing came the glory of God. Blessing, honer, love, and unity is a key of the release of a
private secret place glory into a public quarter amongst people, where it becomes a corporate glory.
These are some great keys to an outpouring and the glory of God, but I want to focus this point on that
there is an authentic fire that comes from the presence. This fire is a part of the greater glory reserved
for those who will say, "Lord, show us your Glory", and "Lord, distinguish us by your presence"; who will
not settle for unauthorized fire like Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu.
I believe God is raising up an end-time vast mighty army to cary this greater glory into the entire earth!
You are called to a greater fire, greater presence, and greater glory!
Distinguished by the Greater Glory
Leonard Ravenhill once said, "A blazing brush drew Moses; a blazing church will attract the world." I to
believe this and find it interesting that Moses asked the Lord to go with him and to distinguish His
people from all other people on the earth by His presence.
(v.15) "If your presence does not go with us, do not send us up form here. (v.16) How will anyone know
that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me
and your people form all the other people on the face of the earth?"-Ex. 33:15,16

For Moses is was the presence of God that was going to give him and the people of God their edge in
the midst of every other people group in the world in that time. Moses was so desperate for God to
touch him, he wanted more! In fact, Moses seemingly had it "all" already. He was the closest person to
the Lord on entire planet when it came to speaking to Him and understanding His plans. The Lord would
speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend (Ex. 33:11). I believe this is what a real
relationship as a friend of God really looks likes; He shows us His secrets. Jesus said in John 15:15, "I no
longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called
you my friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you." We get to
know God's secrets, wow, that is such an awesome truth and invitation! Yet, what is the characteristic of
the friend of God? Moses seemed to have it "all", but he still longed for more. This is a major
characteristic of one who is close to God, or a friend of God. They will constant want to know more and
more for God, and Moses is exemplifying this in this story.
He makes known to the Lord his desperate need for His presence. The Lord then promises that He will
do the very thing Moses asked Him to do. Many of us would have gone home right there, and thanked
God for breakthrough and said, "Amen, thank you for your promises." But, Moses said, "Now show me
your glory (Ex. 33:18 NIV)", or "Please, show me your glory (NKJV)", He cannot wait. He cannot wait to
see the Glory of God, even though God promised this very this, Moses is contending!
There is something about that, and I do believe in God's timing and I believe His will is perfect, yet there
is something about yearning for the glory and power of God. It reminds of the story in John 2, when
Jesus turned the water into wine. He wasn't going to do this wonderful humanely impossible act until
His mother nominated Him for it. He even said that His time had not yet come (Jn. 2:4). But, His mother
stayed on Him, and told the servants to do whatever Jesus told them to do. Jesus then turned the water
into wine. But what I love about this story is found in verse 11, "This, the first of his miraculous signs,
Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed His glory... ." Jesus revealed His glory before He
"planned" because someone made a request and knew the He was capable of fulfilling it! He will do
that same for you today if you ask Him. Father God cannot wait to release on the earth His manifest
glory!
Moses was distinguished by the presence of God after this encounter. When he comes down the
mountain he had on him the tangible presence of God and his face was glowing with the glory! Moses
was promised this glory and he got what he asked for, yet what strikes me is he covered it up. The
people of God were scared with the current manifestation of the glory of God on Moses face, which
many times can still be a road block in many circles in todays church. The glory begins to fall and
because someone has never experience a move of God they ask for it to be covered up. Yet, the fact
remains, the glory of God will distinguish a person or group of people if they allow it to. God is looking
for these types of people; both young and old to descend His glory onto and abide. In the same way the
dove came and rested on Jesus during His baptism in the Jordan river, the Father wants His glory to
come down and remain on His church!
The Glory that Dwells
Eventually the glory on Moses face started to fade away, in fact, this is the difference between glory and
greater glory. The greater glory is a remaining resting glory, which does not fade. And if what was fading
away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts (2 Cor. 3:11)! I believe we are to
hunger like Moses, he is one of the notable and purest examples of receiving the glory. A friend of God
always wants to be closer to God and wants more! Moses was one that said this the best, and God is
looking for bowls in which he can pour His anointing oil into. He is looking for those that will go up on
the mountain and say to God like Moses did, show me your glory. God cannot wait to open His glory to
those that open up to Him. He want to show you more than you want to see! I personally believe that is
why God came like a "rushing" wind in Acts 2 on the day of Pentecost. Holy Spirit hurried down because
He could wait to be on the earth and speak to all of God's children, wow!
Our situation is different than Moses in this: The glory doesn't fade, and we do not put a veil over are
face.
Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. We are not like Moses, who would put a veil
over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading (2 Cor. 3:12,13)
Because we have such a great reality and hope that the glory that we have and is available does not
fade, we can now be very bold to not put a veil on and hide this glory. It becomes a part of who we are!
We are a glory people, and glory generation. The Father is longing for those who will manifest His glory
on the earth and will make it a part of every aspect of their life. This type of person, the greater glory is
woven into their very being and it is their custom and culture to honer God and give Him gloryit means
so much more to them to give Him glory because they have experienced and love His glory.
I was a 19 year old young man fresh off drugs and a life of violence and sin, yet, I can remember a
specific time when I was a brand new Christian and I asked God to show me His glory. I stay up all night
and prayed in a church building. I spoke with him quietly, shouted earnestly, wept passionately, and also
sat in silence until day break. I thought about Jacob's time when he wrestled with the angel of the Lord.
But, I remember something priceless and so sweet that came into the building in different flows,
volumes, and ways throughout the night. It was the greater glory of God. I saw so many things that night
in the spirit world. But, was struck me almost even more is what everyone saw on me after these
experiences. Many who saw me or came to visit would know just by looking at my face that I was
differentthey could literally see the glory of God on me. I didn't know this, but it started happening
more and more.
Once while in Walmart, an old friend who used to buy drugs from me saw me and came up behind me.
He said, Hey Michael, did you get caught by the police or something, I haven't seen you?" I turned
around and told him I gave my life to Jesus. He took three steps back and quickly ran away. I don't know
what happened that day, all I know is that I was a new creation and carrying His glory, and it was
distinguishing me. The glory of God wants to distinguish you today; not to make people scared of you,
but to put Kingdom power in, on, and around you. To make God's good pleasure known in the earth
through your life!
There is an authentic fire that only come from His presence available to those that will make a request
for it and conviction to have nothing less! Moses and Aaron released glory that came from the presence,
and God wants to make you one who can do the same. We must be like a true friend of God, and say,
"Now show me your Glory." The Father longs for a generation to arise who live only to see His Kingdom
come on earth as it is in heaven. The Father longs for YOU to arise and hear His invitation to come into
the glory today, yet not just any gloryHis Greater Glory
Michael Krysty is a young revivalist and the founder of Inhabit Fire Ministries (www.InhabitFire.com). As
a teenager, Michael, an alcoholic, drug dealer, and drug addict, had a intense life-changing encounter
with the power of Jesus while in a drug rehab. He began to have powerful encounters and visitations
with the Lord in times of prayer and study, which spurned in him a radical raw love for Jesus, His
Kingdom, and for people. Michael began to minister personally and corporately shortly after he was
saved, and signs, wonders, and creative miracles followed. Today, Michael travels the world with his
wife to preach, demonstrate, and release the supernatural, healing virtue, and the message of the
saving power of Jesus Christ. He believes the Church must be encouraged and equipped. Michael has
strong convictions that before the return of Jesus, the Church will rise up in victory, maturity, and glory
to operate in the largest and greatest move of God the world has ever known. He ministers prophetically
and powerfully through a demonstration of the Gospel of the Kingdom. Michael and Amanda reside just
outside Charlotte, NC.
