INTRODUCTION
With the improvement of living standards, a large number of people are willing to spend
more money on journey. Most of foreign tourists who visit New Zealand do not have basic
knowledge about culture or do not speak english, as a result , tourists get lost even violate
the local law. To ensure each visitor has a enjoyable time in New Zealand, it is very
important to find a way to transfer travel information to them. Consequently, our product
was design for providing those info to tourists and residents who want to travel from North
Island to South Island. To address this issue, we created a new application software of
phone to help our user easy to find what they want know.

The local app is your guide to what is worth to know, and it could be a good partner in your
trip.

apps should do a lot of preparations and the

alternatives to choose from. E.g. different topics

High Rivalry among existing competitors is high, on
account of traveling is the most lucrative vertical
on the internet, and social is the way everybody
wants to interact on the web. That is why a lot of
people are crazed to get into this space.(Stuart

Overall attractiveness of the industry: In terms of competitiveness, the industry does not
provide any attraction due to it’s intense rivalry and low barriers of entry. Although the
threat of new entrants is high but it could reduce if the inventor have starting funds to ask
the app development company for help. In summary, it is favourable.
3.3 Customers and Thei r Needs
For our product, the first consideration of customer group is the foreign tourists
who vi sit New Zealand. According to Statistic New Zealand, the top five markets
(Australia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan) provided
71% of New Zealand’s overseas visitors. In addition, we also focus on
international student and local people. In the app, tourists will find desirable
hotel, well -know restaurant and attractions. If they get lost, our app can be
used as a GPS with built-in navigation to find where they are. It al so has

significant usefulness for new international students and local resident who
plan to domestic travel. .
3.4 The Product and Service
The main purpose of our product is to help tourists to know and enjoy New Zealand. In the
app, except support essentail navigation features,there are many useful functionalities, such
as voice recongition, multi-language and evaluation system for hotels and restaurant.
Moreover, user can download the extra content for some announces and customs.
3.5 Suppliers and Partners
In the beginning, we need to find a good mobile app development company as partner to
design and confirm whether idea is feasible. After that, our product could be exploit and
added in Application store. The company will still be responsible for routine mainenance
and upgrade version. Our sencondary partner would be advertising company, the vast
majority of revenue come from them by putting ads in app. Supplier are Google maps who
will provide the map information and navigation features, local restaurant , hotels. The
another indispensable suppliers are guidebook company and Yellow Page, because they will
offer reliable and authoritative information.

3.6 Strategy: Cost leadership
Our business’s strategy is cost leadership. As our product mainly solve basic problems in the
journey, so majority of our users will be tourists and international students and local people,
therefore targeting board market will be suitable to descibe our main objective.In view of
this industry exist fierce competition , our app will be free download.
The overall strategy is therefore Cost leadership.

As customers’ needs is our priority, in order to satisfy their requirements, we will update
frequently to ensure the information what we provide is effectively. Customer interaction
allows our business to understand our customers, therefore adjusting our products to suit
these requirements.

for our business to save money and increase the productivity. When customers provide
feedback, there is a very great stage to reply them timely. Feedback always shows us the

different departments in company. On the basis of the different types feedback , the system
will be divided into technical section, sale and marketing or other feedback,etc. This system
allows the manager to understand our customers’ feedbacks clearly and make new policies
to deal with them..

automaticlly. It is very easy to collect research result about our product based system. Had
to mention, the important benefit is this system could transfer customers’ needs to us

To sum up, our product will face a severe test , meantime there is an unmissable
opportunity by competition. Considering marketing and sales as our focus value chain
activity. Our business will deliver top tourism information service in the form of listening to
specific requirements made by our customers, providing them suggestions and meeting
these specifications in our products.
Adopting these information systems make each process more efficient. As these systems
relates to customers relationship leads to more people will download our app, therefore
increasing our business revenue and ultimately generating growth.
Overall, information technology and information system is significant when improve service
that will satisfy our customers. With the assistance of information system, our business is
able to be advanced and provide our customer top quality product that meets their
requirements. Thus, IT/IS introduces higher financial compensation for our business.
