Nissan 5774

SAY IT WITH A STORY...
The story is told of two couples who had not yet been blessed with chil-
dren. One chossid asked the Rebbe for a bracha for children. The Rebbe
gave him a bracha, and a year later their son was born. His friend also
wanted a child, was very inspired by this story, and he said, "If the Reb-
be can give such blessings, I would also like a bracha." He asked the
Rebbe for the bracha, which the Rebbe gave him.
However, a year went by, and then another, and
the bracha was not fulfilled. So he visited the Reb-
be again, and asked why his friend’s bracha had
been answered, but his was not.
The Rebbe replied, "When your friend, the chas-
sid, walked out of yechidus with the bracha, he
immediately bought a stroller for the baby. He had
so much faith that the bracha would be fulfilled, and it was this faith that
formed the vessel to ensure that the bracha would be answered. This was
not the case with you, who was just waiting to see what would happen.”

~ By showing belief and trust, just the Emunah &
Bitachon itself can be reason enough to merit! When
we display our Bitachon in Moshiach coming NOW,
that helps hasten his arrival.
Did You Know?
On the Tenoim (engagement contract) of the Rebbe
Rashab and Rebbetzin Shterna Sarah (which was written
when they were 5 years old!), it was written that the
chasunah will take place in Yerushalayim!
So great was their Bitachon that the Geula will be here, that
for them it was a ‘simple fact’!
Did You Know?
Whe n the Rebbe would sing Ani Ma’amin, he would omit
the phrase , אביש םוי לכב ול הכחא הז לכ םע הממתיש יפ לע ףאו “
saying that we give no option to waiting- we must do all
we can so Moshiiach will come NOW!

I BELIEVE.
By a Shavuos Farbrengen in 5713, the Rebbe said that although we
cherish Niggunim of the Rebbeim specifically, still, the Niggun Ani
Ma’amin has special value, since it was the Niggun that lead Yidden
with Mesiras Nefesh during the holocaust . It’s this ultimate faith in the
Geula that is expressed even during the toughest times, and now too,
this Niggun wakes up within us, the Koach of Mesiras Nefesh to bring
Moshiach. (They then sang the Niggun) (Toras Menachem)
During a Farbrengen, the Rebbe asked to sing Daled Bavos and then
Ani Ma’amin. He explained that the darker the Galus gets, the more it
prompts us to cry out for the Geula. Our Chochomim say, ” אב דוד ןב ןיא
תעדה חיסהב אלא “ - “Moshiach will come at the least expected time” The
Rebbe clarified that Da’as means connection, referring to the things
closest to a person, which touch him the most. Looking deeper into the
words of the Possuk, the Rebbe sees that “Moshiach will not come, un-
less through תעדה חיסה”. We must yearn for Moshiach for the purpose of
a ” םינותחתב הריד “ , and not because of our תעד– the lack we feel in Galus,
which touches us most. When we await Moshiach for a reason above
Da’as- תעדה חסיה, that’s when Geula will come. It’s above logic. This is
what we express in ” חישמה תאיבב המילש הנומאב ןימאמ ינא “ -
“I BELIEVE IN PERFECT FAITH IN THE COMING OF MOSHIACH”.
Perfection only exists in Hashem’s world, not ours; it’s beyond us. Still, we
believe in PERFECT faith that Moshiach is on his way, because it’s not
merely something we develop, rather its inherently inside every single
Jew to yearn for Geula. It’s the Pintel Yid, one with Hashem, that allows
us to believe- ” המילש הנומאב “ (the Rebbe then instructed to sing Ani
Ma’amin again) (Toras Menachem, chelek 9, pg. 109)
Why should I believe that Moshiach is still coming? It’s not a Mitzvah in Torah?!
There are many Psukim in the Torah which predict the coming of Moshiach. None of them
state explicitly, “Thou shall await the arrival of Moshiach every day!” Nevertheless, hun-
dreds of commands throughout the Torah are screaming just that.
What do I mean? The Torah gives us 613 Mitzvos to do. Many of these Mitzvos are to be
done in the Bais Hamikdosh. Others are applicable only when all of the Yidden live in Er-
etz Yisroel. Altogether, the majority of these Mitzvos cannot be fulfilled as long as we are
scattered all over & there is no Bais Hamikdosh. The only way that this can be repaired is
through the Geula.
So you see that every one of these unfulfilled Mitzvos is silently screaming, “Bring
Moshiach so that you can fulfill me! I know that Moshiach will once again build the Bais
Hamikdosh, so that I will be revived!” If so, should not the heart of a sensitive Jew cry &
yearn in the same way?
The women in Mitzrayim,
lead by Miriam Hanevia,
were so determined that
the Geula is on its way, that they prepared the tambourines,
ready for the Simcha of Geula. IT WAS THEIR DETERMINA-
TION THAT BROUGHT ABOUT THE GEULA. Today, too, it’s
our determination that will bring about our Geula.

Wow this is powerful!
Yes, it’s tough, the Galus is
unbearable. Yet Jewish women
have the Koach to overpower
the darkness, with their stead-
fast Bitachon in Hashem, as
we’ve seen especially in our
times.
We trust Hashem, even when
it makes no sense; we know
Hashem is the real Owner of
the world.
It’s through our faith and
TRUST that Geula will come.

Every passing day, questions grow so strong
Tell me, tell me, tell me, where have we gone
wrong
So many rabbis, so many Jews
think we've lost our minds
To say Moshiach’s coming soon, here and
now in our times

How can Moshiach come- now standing be-
fore G-d's throne
It's hard to believe, we can barely conceive
Oh Hashem how'd you leave us alone?!

I remember the night farbrengans
I remember how we would sing
I remember the Rebbe talking
His voice still does ring

I remember every time he spoke
He always said these words
That Moshiach will be coming soon
He'll be coming to save the world

CHORUS:
And he would not give us false hope
And he would not tell us lies
And he would not tell the future
If he hadn't seen it with his eyes

How would he have all the answers
To all the questions he was asked
And if he said Moshiach's coming soon
He'll be here at last

So hold on, hold on
Don't let hope fade away
Yes the sky's turned gray
And the clouds brought rain
But the facts all still remain

We are standing strong, it won't
be long
Let the world just laugh on by
I still believe, we will succeed
And soon Moshiach will be re-
vealed

CHORUS

And he would not give us false hope
And he would not tell us lies
And if he said Moshiach's coming
You can bet he's on his way

We, as Dor Hashvi’I, were promised that it’s our generation that
will greet Moshiach. Just as the women in Mitzrayim were deter-
mined, and trusted Hashem that Geula IS coming, despite the in-
terminable Galus; we too, women of Dor Hashvi’i will not give up.
We’ll strengthen ourselves, and our surroundings, and ultimately
transform the entire world. We’ll see the Galus with “Rebbe Glass-
es”- realizing that any second, ” אב הז הנה “
” וניפ קוחש אלמי זא “
” ה החמו ‘ לעמ העמד תא
יחל לכ “
Once, a group of Chassidim decided that they wished to spend Chanukah with their Rebbe. The
problem was that it was already a week before Chanukah, and no coachman was willing to guarantee
that the long and difficult journey could be made in that time. Finally, they found Feivel "If we are
not there by Chanukah," Feivel promised cheerfully, "you owe me nothing."
They set out in the dead of winter and, as the father of all cynics put it, anything that could possibly
go wrong, did. One of the horses slipped on ice and broke its leg. The coach skidded off the road and
had to be dug out of a snowdrift. They lost their way in the forest. You get the picture. In short,
when Feivel and his coachful of Chassidim finally hobbled into the Rebbe's courtyard it was two
weeks after Chanukah.
When Feivel realized that his passengers had no intention of paying him, he was outraged. He imme-
diately summoned them to the town's Bais Din. After carefully listening to the arguments, the Rabbi
ruled that the Chassidim have no obligation to pay their hapless coachman. Now poor Feivel turned
on the rabbi: "This is justice?! Have you no heart? I work myself for a month, and I don't get any-
thing for my trouble?’
Patiently, the rabbi tried to explain. "My dear man," he said, "I do not decide these things on my own
-- I can only rule by what the Torah says. According to Torah law, if a person makes a contract and is
aware of all the details of the agreement, he is bound by it. There is no other decision I could’ve ar-
rived at." "You mean the Torah says they don't have to pay me?" demanded Feivel. "Yes," replied the
rabbi. "Aha!" cried the coachman triumphantly. “Now I understand. The Torah was given
on Shavuos, right? On Shavuot the roads are perfect, the days are long, the weather is beautiful. Of
course! If I would have failed to make the trip in time for Shavuot, they certainly ought not to pay
me. But had the Torah been given on Chanukah, it surely would have ruled in my favor!"
If Hashem, before whom the entirety of time is an open book, communicates to us His vi-
sion of a perfect world and says to us, "This is the goal of my creation. This is what I want
you to make of my world," are we to assume that a day, a year, or a millennium later the
message no longer applies? Of course not!
Torah is eternal, and every word in Torah is everlasting. No matter how the world changes,
or how the fashions evolve, Torah weathers it all.
Even when it seems that the world is far from its goal, and especially when the world is
nearly ready for the Geula - as the Rebbe has shown us time and time again, Geula is still
reality, and all the rest is just a ”dream” we are experiencing. Very soon, ” ןימאמ ינא “ ,
We’ll see that goal, the “perfect world” Hashem had in mind for what he created, and how
all the rest was just a means to an end.

My own conclusions….

CONCLUSIONS...
SO IF EMUNAH IN THE GEULA IS A MUST…
1– I’ll learn about the Geula, especially in a group, to awaken
my Emuna and get me excited for the Geula (See Sicha of
Parshas Tazria Metzora 5751)
2– I’ll give Tzedaka every day, and say “Gedola Tzedaka
Shemekareves Es Hageula”
3– I’ll have extra Kavanah in “Es Tzemach Dovid Avdecha”
4– I’ll go on Mivtzoyim and spread the wellsprings of Chassi-
dus to even the farthest “Chutzah”
5– I’ll decide on a Hachlata I will take on now, especially to
hasten the coming of Moshiach.
