Dear Andra Pool:

Thank you for reviewing my cover letter in consideration of the Associate and
Event Planner position you posted through Craigslist on November 9 th . I would like
to state that I understand the magnitude of financial and mentorial support in the
college venture, as I myself am a product of such things. For that reason, I have
enclosed my resume for your review.

I have experienced a variety of diverse and intense academic, professional, and

leadership roles that would make me a valuable asset to the Greenhouse Scholars
program. Starting my career path at Menagerie Models, a two-year-old business,
lent me the pleasure of working in a small company atmosphere where every
move I made was accounted for. At Menagerie, I was able to build upon my
already strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as time
management skills.

My college activities consisted of a wide array of philanthropic events, ranging

from development and planning to execution. This led me to develop a strong
sense of responsibility and the ability to contribute to teamwork, even in high-
pressure environments. Those philanthropic events expanded my public speaking
skills and allowed me to work with multiple diverse groups. My employment with
Murray State’s Social Work Office further developed my administrative and
computer skills, as well as a new level of interacting with people. I boast a strong
work ethic and exhibit integrity and initiative consistently.

I excel in fast-paced environments where deadlines must receive priority and

handling many tasks simultaneously is normal. I’m especially adept at listening
to people and understanding what they really want or need. I am self-motivated,
ambitious, and excited to begin my professional career.

Thank you for considering my application for the Associate and Event Planner
position. I greatly appreciate your time and will be in contact a week from now. I
can be reached during the day or in the evening on my cell, (618)975-1896 or by
email at Kelsey.E.Jones@gmail.com

Best regards,
Kelsey Jones
