I learned the type of government is A federal Republic. The World Factbook had information on what types of roadways and waterways are used for transportation. I learned about transnational issues and what role India plays in the world. This is a good source because it has reliable information and gives a broader perspective of how the city works.

"Maps101-India." Maps101. Accessed 2014. Maps101 was very useful for me, because it showed me what surrounded India and what didn't. I could easily tell the bodies of water and countries that bordered India. This helps to show the importance and understanding of the geographical context.

I found lots of information with pictures that really helped my understanding of what i was reading. The article showed how Delhi was originally supposed to be the capital of Muslim conqueros in the 13th and 19th centuries.

The Secretary General remarked how India is a role model to other countries.While India has its own struggles and challenges the people still manage to have a friendly and warm demeanor. The Secretary General also said how India is a such a diverse country, but maintains the power of unity.

A family was interviewed whose home was destroyed by the government. I learned about why the government is trying to get rid of slums. People not only live in slums, but they also work and sell things in them as well. On one hand it is wrong for the government to tear the slums down, but on the other hand it is their land in the first place.

Singh, Sanjay K. "Review of Urban Transportation in India." Journal of Public Transportation, o.s., 8 (2005): 79-87. The article by Sanjay K. Singh gave me information on transportation in India. The journal article had lots of graphs to show the kinds of car and how many people were using cars in a specific year. Singh also touched on how cities cannot afford to have only private cars and how people need to use public transportation more often.

The Department of History is a good source because it has information on India's growing population. I learned that with India's rapidly growing population of 6 billion they could be running out of resources such as food.The article also talked about how they may not be over populating, but under producing. It showed how the people of India are not running out of resources they just aren't producing enough resources. This site gave me a broader perspective on the situation in India.

"21 Things To Do In Delhi, India." Video file, 11:51. youtube. 21 Things to Do in India was a very fun video clip. It not only showed what it's like in India but it also showed historic and fun places to visit. Mark Weins, the videographer, showed many temples in India. It really helped to see all of the temples and learn about them because it helped me understand what a huge role temples have on lives of people living in India.
Watt, Louise. "Bad Pollution Plagues Both New Delhi and Beijing, but Which City Is Taking Steps to Tackle?" Fox News gave me a different perspective on pollution in India. Fox News compared the differences between Delhi and Beijing. It was definitely interesting and scary to see how much pollution there is in these cities and how dangerous it can be. The article also talked about how the pollution is slowing down traffic.
