Pain

FADE IN:
1 INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT
EXTREME CLOSE UP - PHONE RINGING
After a long and exhausting day of work, Qways wakes up on
his bed in the middle of the night to the sound of his cell
phone ringing.
EXTREME CLOSE UP/RACK FOCUS - CELL PHONE & QWAYS
He ignores the ringtone and picks up his phone squinting at
the list of multiple missed calls on the bright lit screen.
As he backtracks the list he receives a text message from a
stranger:
A hit has been ordered on you. Run.
DUTCH ANGLE/GOBOS - QWAYS
Qways immediately sits right side up and grabs the pistol
that’s carefully laid under his bed as if it was patiently
waiting for him.
He notices a half empty bottle of Jack Daniels knocked over
on it’s side slowly pouring a small pool underneath of his
feet.
EXTREME CLOSE UP - SHOES
Qways immediately grabs the bottle on one hand while still
holding the pistol on the other.
He starts pouring himself a shot and another...and another,
patiently waiting on the hitman coming to assassinate him in
his sleep.
CUT TO:
2 INT. HALLWAY - NIGHT - SEPARATE SCENE
SILHOUETTE OVER THE SHOULDER - STRANGER
The Hitman holds his pistol very tightly while cautiously
walking down the hallway.
GOBOS - HAND & PISTOL
The hitman goes through multiple rooms, opening each door
quietly. Every room is empty, except the last one...he grabs
the door handle and slowly turns it.
CUT TO:

3 INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT - QWAYS
Qways is startled by the door opening, with confidence that
he thinks it’s the hitman he pulls the trigger...It wasn’t
him.
Qways’s wife who has just came from her night shift tumbles
down to her knees and then onto the floor. Her phone on her
right hand clearly showing she was the one calling him. And
the text message Qways received earlier was nothing, but
sent to the wrong person.
CUT TO:
4 INT. SEPERATE BEDROOM - NIGHT - HITMAN
The hitman opens the door and stares at a different man
sleeping on his bed. He slowly raises his gun to the man’s
head. He pulls the trigger.
SMASH CUT TO END.
