ACTION ITEM DP01 Improve Park Avenue STATUS SNI staff and subcommittee took a tour on Park Avenue on 1/25 to explore potential projects for improvements. Met with Code inspector on 1/29/08 to discuss some code enforcement on blighted residential properties. Met with DPW to review the Delmas Park Underground utilities on 2/5/08 DP02 Implement Housing Painting/Rehabilitation Projects Subcommittee had a tour on 1/19/08 and proposed a list to be considered for Housing Painting/ Rehabilitation. Delmas NAC board has approved to transfer $36,300 from Auzerais Streetscapes sub-line item and $163,700 from West San Carlos Streetscapes sub-line item on 2/11/08 in order to fund the Housing/Painting Rehab project. SNI staff met with the Santa Clara County Creeks Coalition to discuss potential partnership in creek clean up. The Santa Clara County Creeks Coalition met with the Delmas Park NAC on 2/11 to provide resources for the Los Gatos Creek clean up. DP04 Conduct Traffic Calming Studies and Install Traffic Calming Measures Delmas Park NAC met with DOT traffic calming liaison on November 19, 2007 to discuss potential next steps for evaluating neighborhood traffic calming ideas. DOT staff will perform feasibility analysis on the traffic calming proposal by March 2008. SNI and Housing Department staff will work with the subcommittee to host a community meeting for the housing rehab project by late March 2008. SNI and Housing staffs are simultaneously preparing the Project Service Memorandum to transfer the funding from the Redevelopment Agency to Housing for an April appropriation. NEXT STEPS The project will be on hold until 2010 after the completion of the Delmas Park Underground Utility project completion. (Informed the neighborhood at the Delmas Park NAC meeting on 2/11/08) Code is currently working with the subcommittee to resolve blighted issues in the neighborhood (on-going).
DP03 Maintain and Improve Los Gatos Creek Area
Subcommittee will work with City Year in late March 2008 to plan for the clean up event. Subcommittee will also apply for a CAP grant in April 2008 for this project.
