NEW OPPORTUNITIES
If you have experience in budget planning or marketing skills, the Ranch needs your expertise. Two new committees are being formed: (1) a Budget Committee will research budget needs throughout the year and help prepare the Ranch’s proposed annual budget; (2) a Marketing Committee will work in unison with the Technology Committee and develop possible ways to market the ranch nationwide, with special emphasis on regional markets, together with a plan of implementation. If you have skills and experience in either field and want to be considered for these committees, please send your name and contact information TODAY along with your qualifications (resume) to the Ranch Office Manager, Michael Rogers via email to officemanager@cloud9ranchclub.com. FUN-ADDICTS COMMITTEE IN 2009
The Fun-Addicts Committee was approved this year. Its mission is to provide quality events designed specifically for children up to age 12, but all ages are encouraged to participate. FunAddicts coordinate themed parties on holiday weekends to help enhance adult events held by other committees. Several events this year sponsored by this committee had over 80 children participating and it has proven to be an asset to the Ranch. Children events for 2010 (shown below) are already on the Ranch calendar. The Committee began with zero funds but plenty of enthusiasm for fundraising. In addition to several themed parties for children this year, with generous help from some owners, Fun-Addicts sponsored and completed restoration of Pavilion playground equipment. As funds are available, other projects of this nature are being planned for 2010. Fun-Addicts Committee Financials for 2009 are: Income (owner donations/fundraisers): $1,138.54 Disbursements in 2009: Merry-Go-Round Renovation $212.60 Employee Appreciation Pizza Party $ 35.00 Themed Events Expenses $616.62 Total Disbursements $864.22 Balance as of October, 2009 $274.32*
*Funds are held in ranch account designated for FunAddicts.

I’VE GOT A QUESTION
Do you have a question about something on the Ranch, but can’t find anyone who seems to have the answer? Please email ranchmanager@cloud9ranchclub.com your question and we’ll find the answer for you. When space permits, we will publish some of the questions and answers here in the 9Lines. t Q. I was on the Ranch last week and didn’t see many employees working. How many are on the payroll during the winter? A. Ranch Staff for the off-season has been cut deeper than usual this year to keep payroll costs as low as possible. There are now approximately 20 employees on the payroll. Two areas

Judy Sweetin, Bingo Committee Chairman, reports to us that the Bingo Committee will use the above funds to purchase new tables for the Patio Room prior to the peak season in 2010. The new flooring in the Patio Room and Clubhouse Kitchen has been installed. A big thank you to Jeff Jaromack, owner, who gave

require staffing 24-hour year-round (gatehouse and rangers). When the need arises for extra help in other work areas, the Ranch Manager or office staff will fill in if possible. Q. Why are some committee reports different that have been published in the last few 9Lines? A. In order to help keep all members informed, a request was published in late September for committee chairmen to submit financial information given at a board meeting for publication in the 9Lines. They were also requested to provide information on any ongoing projects, accomplishments and long-term goals for next year. There was no requirement to send this information and no format suggested. All committees responding did so in their own way; some handwritten notes, others full disclosures with plans and goals. The information has been provided that was reported by each committee.

If you have an emergency and need medical assistance, please call 417-284-7321. In case

of extreme weather conditions, storm shelters are located at Pre-Teen (pets allowed) and Chapel basement.

MESSAGE TO RANCH OWNERS
Owners are asking if they can submit and what is the best way to provide poems, funny ranch stories or other items for publication in the 9Lines when they are not on the Ranch. If you have questions, comments, articles, poems or ranch stories, please send an email to the Ranch front desk at reservations@cloud9ranchclub.com. The number of pages in the 9Lines is a concern because of printing and paper costs. Printing is reduced considerably during the winter months because of low Ranch occupancy, and with new and improved avenues more people are depending on viewing the 9Lines online. Over the winter months there will be limited space for articles submitted by Owners. All entries submitted must be less than 250 words or will be edited for space available. Adding pictures to an article will depend on the ability to scan and print. Articles will be printed as space allows during the off-season. Put your creative writing juices to work and submit an article of interest to 9Lines readers. Articles printed in the 9Lines may also be included in the monthly eNewsletter mail-out to all owners who have signed up for paperless communication. If you want your membership added to the paperless list send a request for paperless transmissions (information below).
