The DNB student maintains a log book in which all cases seen and discussed,

consultant. The student is supposed to attend the hospital 6 days a week from
8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The student does one emergency duty per week on an
average, with Sunday duty by rotation.
Examinations
Every two months, a multiple choice examination of the topics covered is held
and grades are assigned. Every six months, a clinical examination consisting of
long and short cases, is taken.

All cases for elective surgery are discussed in detail with emphasis on the
surgical approach, alternative procedures, angiography and X-ray findings on
the day preceding the operation.
