WORD OF GOD

... through Bertha Dudde

Does God punish the children
for the sins of the fathers? ....
It is ! "ill that !ou hu#ans should li$e in truth %ecause
erroneous thoughts "ill o%struct !our ascent& and %ecause one
#isguided thought can result in #an! "rong thoughts. 'nd
hence !ou shall recei$e e(planations too& pro$iding !ou "ant
these for the sa)e of the pure truth*
'lthough !ou are as)ed to %elie$e in ! +ustice& !ou should
ne$ertheless not get a false i#pression of e due to teachings
"hich portra! e as a heartless God Who punishes unfairl! ....
'nd this false i#pression "ill co#e a%out as long as !ou do not
understand the #eaning of the "ords ,I "ill punish the sins of
the fathers up to the fourth generation ....-
It is not the case that I '# #erciless and that children and
grandchildren ha$e to do penance for the sins of their fathers ....
%ecause e$er! soul is responsi%le for itself and has to #a)e
a#ends for their o"n guilt "hile still on earth& as long as it does
not accept sal$ation through .esus /hrist.
0or "ill children and grandchildren %e held responsi%le for the
sins of their fathers .... But it can %e a natural conse1uence of
certain sins "hich effects children and grandchildren .... so that
"ea)nesses and disa%ilities of a ph!sical and ps!chological
nature occur "hich are caused %! the fathers- sinful life. 'nd this
conse1uence is also $isi%le to other people& hence the
"ea)nesses and disa%ilities are no" regarded as punish#ents on
! part.

's long as the people "ho ha$e %eco#e sinful are still ali$e& the
a"areness that the! are to %la#e for their children-s #iser! can
%e punish#ent for the# too& the! can& due to this a"areness&
no" also #a)e a#ends for their sins& i.e. render a +ust
co#pensation for their guilt& %ut the! can onl! find forgi$eness
"hen the! ta)e their guilt to the cross and as) .esus /hrist for
forgi$eness& for sal$ation ....
But the e1uall! ,punished- children are souls in their o"n right
"ho ha$e consciousl! accepted the difficult fate of their earthl!
life in order to achie$e #aturit! sooner& %ecause the! are
infor#ed of this %eforehand and can also refuse to accept this
fate.
It is al"a!s #erel! a #atter of the souls- #aturation.
2he ph!sical e(istence as a hu#an %eing is #ore than less
irrele$ant ....
a difficult earthl! life is far #ore li)el! to lead to perfection than
a peaceful and en+o!a%le earthl! e(istence .... 3ou people&
ho"e$er& still %eing ignorant& regard your life as human being
too highly .... 'nd !ou "ill al"a!s accuse e of in+ustice "hen
!ou are hard hit %! fate& although it is %ased on ! lo$e for
!ou ....
2he process of return offers #an! options %ut !ou rarel!
recognise the# as such .... 3ou onl! e$er regard the conditions
of ad$ersit! as heartlessness and in+ustice on ! part& !et !ou do
not recognise in the# the opportunities to achie$e co#plete
#aturit!.
4$er!thing !ou do "ill %e su%+ect to la"& naturall! as "ell as
spirituall!. 'nd thus e$er! transgression "ill result in
conse1uences "hich are so#eti#es o%$ious %ut occasionall! not
apparent& %ecause an offence against ! eternal order "ill
al"a!s ha$e a negati$e effect& %ecause ! +ustice alone "ill
pro$ide the hu#an %eing "ith opportunities for co#pensation& so
that he can #a)e a#ends for his guilt "hile still on earth and
need not enter the )ingdo# on the other side e(cessi$el!
%urdened ....
'nd e$en if he passes o$er unredee#ed& if he has not !et found
sal$ation through .esus /hrist& he can still %e affected %! the fate
of those he cared a%out during his earthl! life and feel re#orse.
'nd here"ith he "ill ha$e alread! ta)en a step for"ard
%ecause& although he "ill also %e helpless in the )ingdo# on the
other side due to his sinfulness& he "ill ne$ertheless tr! to help
his lo$ed one .... 5e has the "ill to do so and this is credited to
hi# as lo$e& and no" he "ill %e e1uall! helped %! the spiritual
"orld ....
'lternati$el! ho"e$er& souls also consciousl! accept a difficult life
in order to help those "ho facilitate their e#%odi#ent on earth
and %ecause the! often notice the sa#e inclinations and hence
feel attached to the#.
When the! sa! that the sins of the father "ill %e punished up to
the fourth generation& this onl! #eans that serious offences
against the eternal order result in naturall! la"ful conse1uences&
"hich I& ho"e$er& consent to %ecause the! in turn can ena%le
other souls- ascent. It is a person-s co#pletel! free "ill as to ho"
he conducts hi#self in earthl! life& +ust as it is the co#pletel!
free "ill of the soul "hich e#%odies itself again.
When ,punish#ent- on ! part is #entioned it is a #isconception
in as #uch that everything is only for the benefit of the
soul& "hate$er is inflicted on it and "hate$er happens to it in its
earthl! life .... Because #an! a soul can onl! #ature %! "a! of
suffering %ecause it does not ac1uire a high degree of lo$e of its
o"n accord .... "hich su%se1uentl! "ould result in the decrease
of suffering and #a)e its fate on earth #ore endura%le.
5o"e$er& as long as !ou al"a!s +ust "ant to see in+ustice on !
part in regards to the destin! of long6suffering people !ou are
#erel! displa!ing !our lac) of )no"ledge of ! eternal plan of
sal$ation7 further#ore& !ou are una"are of ! greater than
great lo$e for !ou& "hich onl! e$er "ants to sa$e and "ill ne$er
conde#n ....
/o#pared to eternit! ti#e on earth is onl! %rief& %ut during this
e(tre#el! short period of ti#e !ou hu#ans ha$e the opportunit!
to gather #an! treasures for eternit!& !ou can #a)e a#ends for
#uch in+ustice and enter the )ingdo# of light& pro$iding !ou find
.esus /hrist and as) 5i# for forgi$eness of !our guilt ....
