pmartires's inforightpaneltop1.png Mod::
pmartires's Texture Mods::Installation based on v2.9.0929::coikenMod-Compatible::

Skin Installation:
1. Move the "amwyamj291116" folder and its contents to the skins folder of where
YAMJ has been installed to.
2. Either rename "amwyamj291116" to "default" or edit the last line of so that it says amwyamj291116 instead of default. In my
experience, this last line in the tends to change it back
to "default" -- so after changing this line and saving it, I would make the file
READ ONLY. To do this, right click on the file, click Properties, check Read-only,
click Apply, and OK.
3. I would recommend removing all previously generated files ("C:\Program
Files\myiHome\webapps\ROOT\feature\myiHome-moviejukebox" for myiHome users) and
regenerating them. For myiHome users, go to Edit > Preferences > Plugin >
Regenerate to regenerate all the files.
4. Remember to put your overscan values back in before regenerating.
5. If you set YAMJ to download Apple trailers, make sure to only set it to
download 1 trailer. This should save you time and bandwidth. Use this line in the file:
*Remember to get the developmental version of YAMJ, found here:
*Remember to put your overscan values back in.
Overscan Tool Installation:
1. Extract the contents.
2. Place all the files on a USB drive or anywhere you can access the index.html
file on the NMT.
3. Run the index.html file on the NMT and follow the on-screen directions to find
the values for your TV.

November 16, 2009 Update

Alright, I know it's been over three weeks since the last update. I appologize.
Thank you for hanging in there with me. Aside from a busy personal schedule, there
weren't all that many requests this time around -- I like working on a long to-do
list, and it took a bit more time this time around for the list to get long. I'm
hoping this means mostly everyone is content with the skin. And to further make
everyone happy, I've included a lot more eye candy this time around. No one
suggested graphical changes and I didn't want another long boring coding session,
so I made sure I had Photoshop open for the majority of this update. As usual,
let's start with the graphics.

1) First and foremost, unfortunately, I have to put Play-from-Wall on the

backburner. I'm putting it back on "to-do" status instead of "upcoming". It's not
fair to anyone who's expecting it. At this point, all I can say is that it'll come
when it comes. Coding it seems to be a larger task than expected. I'm sorry for
the inconvenience.

2) videosource in the skin-options.xsl now has 2 more options. Previously,

true would show the video source and false would show the video codec. Now there's
"primary" and "secondary". "primary" shows the video source, if available, and if
it's not available, it'll then show the video codec. For whatever reason, I also
did the opposite with "secondary" -- if video codec is not available, the video
source will be shown. I don't think this scenario will ever come up, but it's
there if it happens.

3) There is now a VideoOutputOrFPS variable in the skin-options.xsl.

"output" will show what we've always had there (720p, 1080i, 1080p, NTSC, PAL).
"fps" will show all the available frame rates supported by the NMT. The flags can
be seen in the 1st screenshot above. I wasn't sure how I was going to do it, but
they actually look rather attractive.

4) There was some confusion/issues with trying to use thumbnails for TV
shows instead of banners. According to the note in the, if you've
setting tv-banners/tv-banners-set to false in the skin-options.xsl,
mjb.nbTvThumbnailsPerPage must equal what you have set for the
mjb.nbThumbnailsPerPage (such as 27, 12, 48, or 17). Furthermore, banners.width
and banners.height must still be set, even though you're not using them. To save
some space, I've set both of these to "1" -- so you'll be getting 1 pixel-by-1
pixel banners.

5) For strictly testing purposes in your computer's web browser, the paging
message on the Wall view is linked to the next page. For example, where it says
"Page 2 out of 3", the number "3" is linked to go to page 3. Going back is as
simple as pressing the back button on your browser, or Backspace on your keyboard.
CTRL-Left also works for most browsers.

6) Pressing down throughout the Wall will loop and bring you back to page
1. Previously, if you're very last Wall had only 1 or 2 rows (in a 3-row
configuration), pressing down on that last Wall page just pushed the thumbnails up
and would essentially break the skin. This should no longer happen and will loop
around back to page 1.

7) For those using large shift-poster values, this unaligned the lower flag
elements (video source, audio codec, etc). I've added a shift-detail value to the
exportdetails_item_popcorn.css. It's defaulted to 65. You can increase this as
necessary, but only small increases will work. Anything too large will just break
the page. This is just the nature of how the page works. I'm sorry for the
inconvenience. I'll try further to fine tune this issue.

8) Someone noticed that when using coikenMod, due to their poster's
resolution, it no longer seemed centered in the left portion of the screen. So I
have added coikenMod-shift-poster to the exportdetails_item_popcorn.css. Now,
there is a maximum limit for this value. To calculate this maximum limit, subtract
the posters.width from 495. For example, if you're using posters with a width of
400, then the maximum that coikenMod-shift-poster can bs is 95. Any more, and
it'll break the page.

9) *FEATURED* LowList in the skin-options.xsl will provide a TV-style

layout for movies. I was having trouble over which was the best way to arrange the
information in this style. I think it doesn't look half-bad. You might be
wondering a few things. You'll noticed that there's a gap under the STARRING list
that could easily fit two more cast memebers or something else. This gap is here
so in case I want to add more flags in the future, the row of flags can be
extended easily. You might also notice that the texture goes all the way from the
left edge of the screen to the right, whereas in the TV details layout, it just
kind of ends -- this is just a limitation of the TV function. The movie function
doesn't have the same limitation, so I decided to have it span the entire width.
The other thing you might be wondering is the plot length. The plot length is
still based on 750, however, the LowList mod will automatically subtract 454
characters -- so keep this in mind if you're adjusting the PlotLength value.
LowList will also work when dim=false, but the page will definitely break if you
have a trailer, multiple parts, and number-ratings turned on.

10) *FEATURED* For Llink/RAR users, I've made better RAR support -- for
movies anyway. Previously, you had to put "part#.rar" on your ignore list in the
libraries file. You no longer have to do this. The skin will ignore anything past
part01.rar (or part001.rar if you have that many parts). Unfortunately, I wasn't
able to do the same for TV shows as it seems there's a bug with multipart
episodes. If you have a 2-part episode, YAMJ only picks up the 2nd part. Since
part#.rar files are treated as multipart, YAMJ will only pick up part02.rar. I
could've made YAMJ read part01.rar anyway, which is a workaround, but this is an
issue that should be fixed on YAMJ's side anyway.

11) *FEATURED* Alaska. Well, only one part anyway. Note that this is
absolutely unsupported. You can still post suggestions or issues, but there is no
guarantee that it'll ever get incorporated or fixed. This is a mimic of XBMC
Alaska, which is lightly based on XBMC Aeon. XBMC Alaska is still in development
and the details page might not even look like this in the final release. To
install this, there is an "alaska" folder that has a "detail.xsl" file in it --
replace the original detail.xsl file with this one. You'll notice that I named it
"Alaskan Night" -- only because it's dark. The textures are easily replaceable,
but I kept it dark to be kind on plasma TVs (and perhaps your eyes). The
extras/Companion page will also still work with Alaska. Also, the only other thing
you need to do for Alaska to work is to set posters.width=324 and
posters.height=480 in the -- and also make sure that the posters
you get are larger than these dimensions or else it will get tiled.

12) Some smaller updates: dim=true is now the new default. "UNKNOWNPlot
Unknown" episodes plots will now only say "Plot Unknown". Added "PCM" audio codec
flag. "Play All" should work fine for series with a single episode (vob and all
formats). Added 16 foreign TV logos. "24p" movies will show up as "NTSC". When
viewing movie details on your computer's web browser, the lower flags should all
be aligned. In the Wall, you can now have the year, certificate, runtime, and/or
rating (skin-year, skin-yearTV, skin-certification, skin-runtime, skin-rating in
the skin-options.xsl) show up next to the title. Removed the Hebrew note for the
RightAlign option -- you don't have to enable it as it's automatically done. The
part number and the part title will now show up in the Companion page for
multipart movies. Long titles are cut off at 74 characters to prevent the movie
details page breaking. "Home" in the Categories screen will bring you back to the
Wall. Option to change the "Back to Details" text in the skin-options.xsl, when
using Companion pages.

Alright, that should be it for this update. I'm sorry again for the long wait this
time around. As always, I thank everyone greatly for all the support, and please
feel free to post any issues or comments you might have.
