Job title
General Administrator and Projects Officer, Childrens Classic Concerts

Reporting to
Directly reporting to the General Manager

Job Purpose
To give key support to the General Manager and from time to time to the Executive Director, to
coordinate the administration of projects, and to oversee and be responsible for the efficient day-to-
day operation of the CCC office. Due to the small size of the CCC team this will involve taking charge
while senior staff are busy elsewhere.

Hours
15 hours per week on average, ideally over 5 days. Some flexibility is required, with the possibility of
fewer hours during school holidays balanced by more in busy periods. Support on concert days will
be required on up to 10 weekends annually with time off in lieu.

Location
CCC Office at 46A Fortrose Street, Glasgow, G11 5LP - 5 minutes walk from Partick Station

Salary
18,000 - 20,000 pro rata depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities

Providing administrative support using Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word, Excel, Access)
and some financial administration using Sage

The updating and management of the website and social networking outlets (training can be
provided if required, provided a clear aptitude is shown)

Maintaining and, if required, creating and implementing efficient systems and protocols to
ensure the effective day-to-day operation of the office

Liaising with venues, schools, musicians and partner organisations

Providing support where needed, backstage or Front of House, on concert days

The upkeep and management of databases

Giving key support to senior staff on a wide range of specific projects


Skills/Knowledge required

You are an organised and efficient administrator with excellent IT skills.

You have the ability to plan tasks, achieve deadlines and prioritise effectively, coping
successfully under pressure when necessary.

You have a high standard of literacy and numeracy as well as excellent communication and
interpersonal skills.

You welcome new challenges and enjoy a varied, wide-ranging workload.

You are a pro-active team member and also have the confidence and ability to work on your
own initiative.

You will quickly gain knowledge of the company in order to work effectively

Your PR and communication skills will be used on a daily basis; your tact and enthusiasm will
be needed in equal measure when dealing with the general public and senior figures in the
musical world.

Some knowledge of and interest in the Arts, particularly music, whilst not essential, will be
an advantage.

A car driver with access to their own vehicle will be an advantage. Mileage allowance is
given for travel on concert days.
