Significance
ONE OF THE FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPLES OF DISPENSATIONALISM IS AN ERRONEOUS
DIFFERENTIATION BETWEEN "THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN" AND "THE KINGDOM OF GOD".

The 'Kingdoms' In Harmony
Preached / Shared / Spoken

According to Mt. 4v17 Jesus "PREACH ... THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN" (AKJV); while
according to Mk. 1v14 He was "PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD"
(AKJV), Lk. 4v43 "PREACH THE KINGDOM OF GOD" (AKJV), Lk. 8v1 "PREACHING AND
SHEWING THE GLAD TIDINGS OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD:" (AKJV), Lk. 9v2 "PREACH
THE KINGDOM OF GOD" (AKJV), and Lk. 9v11 "SPAKE UNTO THEM OF THE KINGDOM
OF GOD" (AKJV).

EDITOR'S NOTE:
Either, both was preached by Christ, or they are one and the same.

Sowed

According to Mt. 13v24 "THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is likened unto a man which SOWED
GOOD SEED IN HIS FIELD"; while according to Mk. 4v26 "THE KINGDOM OF GOD, AS IF A
MAN CASTING SEED INTO THE GROUND" (AKJV), and in Mk. 4v31 as "a grain of MUSTARD
SEED ... SOWN IN THE EARTH" (AKJV).

EDITOR'S NOTE:
Either, both are sowed, or they are one and the same.

Near

According to Mt. 3v2, 4v17 and 10v7 "THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND"; while
according to Mk. 1v15 "THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND" (AKJV).

EDITOR'S NOTE:
Either, both were at hand, or they are one and the same.

Knowable

Mt. 13v11 tells us "it is given unto you to know THE MYSTERIES OF THE KINGDOM OF
HEAVEN" (AKJV); while Mk. 4v11 tells us "unto you it is given to know THE MYSTERY OF THE
KINGDOM OF GOD" (AKJV), and Lk. 8v10 "unto you it is given to know THE MYSTERIES OF
THE KINGDOM OF GOD" (AKJV).

EDITOR'S NOTE:
Either, both mysteries were given to us to know, or they are one and the same.

Received

Mk. 10v15 says that we should "RECEIVE THE KINGDOM OF GOD" (AKJV).

Inherited

In Mt. 5v3 the poor in spirit "INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN" (KJV); in Mt. 25v34 the
blessed "INHERIT THE KINGDOM" (AKJV).

EDITOR'S NOTE:
Either, both are inherited, or they are one and the same.

... by those with child-like humility

In Mt. 19v14 we read regarding little children that "FOR SUCH IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN"
(AKJV); while in Mk. 10v14 we read regarding the same that "OF SUCH IS THE KINGDOM OF
GOD" (AKJV).

EDITOR'S NOTE:
Either, both were for those with child-like humility, or they are one and the same.

Coming

According to Mt. 16v28 they WILL "SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN HIS KINGDOM"
(AKJV); while according to Mk. 9v1 they WILL SEE "THE KINGDOM OF GOD COME WITH
POWER" (AKJV), and Lk. 9v27 "till they SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD" (AKJV).

EDITOR'S NOTE:
Either, both would be seen in their lifetime, or they are one and the same.

Entered

According to Mt. 5v20, 7v21, and 18v3 the righteous "ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF
HEAVEN" (AKJV); while according to Mt. 21v31 the publicans and the harlots "GO INTO THE
KINGDOM OF GOD" (AKJV), Mk. 9v47 "ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD" (AKJV), and
Mk. 10v15 regarding THE KINGDOM OF GOD "ENTER THEREIN" (AKJV).

According to Mt. 19v23 "A RICH MAN SHALL HARDLY ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF
HEAVEN" (AKJV); while according to Mk. 10v23 "HARDLY SHALL THEY THAT HAVE
RICHES ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD" (AKJV)

EDITOR'S NOTE:
Either, both of these are entered, or they are one and the same.

Least & Greater

According to Mt. 11v11 "he that is LEAST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN" is "greater than
John the Baptist" (AKJV); wile according to Lk. 7v28 "he that is LEAST IN THE KINGDOM OF
GOD" is "greater ... than John the Baptist" (AKJV).

EDITOR'S NOTE:
While REPORTING ON THE SAME EVENT, according to Matthew Jesus spoke of "the kingdom
of heaven" (Mt. 11v11), while according to Luke He spoke of "the kingdom of God" (Lk. 7v28).
Either, Matthew or Luke was mistaken, or both were correct!?

Drunk

According to Mt. 26v29 we will "DRINK IT NEW ... IN MY FATHER'S KINGDOM" (AKJV);
while according to Mk. 14v25 we will "DRINK IT NEW IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD" (AKJV).

EDITOR'S NOTE:
Either, we'll enjoy the fruit of the vine in both these kingdoms, or they are one and the same.

KING "the Kingdom of Heaven" (Mt. 18v23, 22v2).

TEN VIRGINS "the Kingdom of Heaven" (Mt. 25v1).

MAN TRAVELING "the Kingdom of Heaven" (Mt. 25v14).

PUBLICANS / HARLOTS "the Kingdom of God" (Mt. 21v31).

TAKEN "the Kingdom of God" (Mt. 21v43).

In speaking of "THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN" (Mt.13v24-38), Jesus Himself simply speaks of "THE
KINGDOM" (Mt.13v38)

THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN has been in existence, at the very least, since "the days of John the Baptist" (Mt.
11v12).

THE KINGDOM OF GOD are manifest (established) in wonder-working power. (Mt. 12v28)

Conclusion
As demonstrated above, when the synoptic gospels are compared, it becomes self-evident that Matthew's
"kingdom of heaven" exactly parallels Mark and Luke's "kingdom of God". [3]

"And saying, Repent ye: for THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND." (Mt. 3v2,
AKJV, p.421)

"But SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD, and His righteousness; and all these
things shall be added unto you." (Mt. 6v33, AKJV, p.423)

"{31} Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is
like to A GRAIN OF MUSTARD SEED, which a man took, and SOWED IN HIS FIELD:
{32} Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among
herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
{33} Another parable spake He unto them; THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is like unto LEAVEN,
which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened." (Mt.
13v31-33, AKJV, p.427)

"{44} Again, THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is LIKE UNTO TREASURE HID IN A
FIELD; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof GOETH AND
SELLETH ALL THAT HE HATH, and buyeth that field. {45} Again, THE KINGDOM
OF HEAVEN is LIKE UNTO A MERCHANT MAN, SEEKING GOODLY PEARLS: {46} Who,
when he had found one pearl of great price, went and SOLD ALL THAT HE HAD, and bought
it. {47} Again, THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is LIKE UNTO A NET, THAT WAS CAST INTO
THE SEA, AND GATHERED OF EVERY KIND: {48} Which, WHEN IT WAS FULL, they
DREW TO SHORE, and SAT DOWN, and GATHERED THE GOOD INTO VESSELS, but CAST
THE BAD AWAY. {49} So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and
sever the wicked from among the just. {50} And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there
shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. {51} Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these
things? They say unto Him, Yea, Lord. {52} Then said He unto them, Therefore every scribe which
is instructed unto THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is LIKE UNTO A MAN THAT IS AN
HOUSEHOLDER, WHICH BRINGETH FORTH OUT OF HIS TREASURE THINGS NEW AND
OLD." (Mt. 13v44-52, AKJV, p.428)

"And I will give unto thee the keys of THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN: and whatsoever
thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on
earth shall be loosed in heaven." (Mt. 16v19, AKJV, p.429)

"Verily I say unto you, THERE BE SOME STANDING HERE, WHICH SHALL NOT
TASTE OF DEATH, TILL THEY SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN HIS KINGDOM."
(Mt. 16v28, AKJV, p.429)

"{1} At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, WHO IS THE GREATEST IN
THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN? {2} And Jesus called a little child unto Him, and set him
in the midst of them, {3} And He said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and
become as little children, ye shall not ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. {4}
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in THE
KINGDOM OF HEAVEN." (Mt. 18v1-4, AKJV, p.430)

"For there are some EUNUCHS, WHICH WERE SO BORN FROM THEIR MOTHER'S
WOMB: and there are some EUNUCHS, WHICH WERE MADE EUNUCHS OF MEN: and
there be EUNUCHS, WHICH HAVE MADE THEMSELVES EUNUCHS FOR THE
KINGDOM OF HEAVEN'S SAKE. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it." (Mt. 19v12,
AKJV, p.431)

"{23} Then said Jesus unto His disciples, Verily I say unto you, That A RICH MAN SHALL
HARDLY ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. {24} And again I say unto you,
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, THAN FOR A RICH MAN TO
ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD." (Mt. 19v23-24, AKJV, p.431)

Nowhere is the similarity more striking, than in Matthew chapter 19 verses 23 to 24, where in the
same passage, conveying the same message, Christ Himself uses the terms "the kingdom of heaven"
(v23) and "the kingdom of God" (v24) interchangeably.

"{1} For THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is LIKE UNTO A MAN THAT IS AN
HOUSEHOLDER, WHICH WENT OUT EARLY IN THE MORNING TO HIRE
LABOURERS INTO HIS VINEYARD. {2} And when he had agreed with the labourers for a
penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. {3} And he went out about the third hour, and saw
others standing idle in the marketplace. {4} And said unto them: Go ye also into the vineyard, and
whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. {5} Again he went out about the sixth
and ninth hour, and did likewise. {6} And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others
standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? {7} They say unto him,
Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever
is right, that shall ye receive. {8} So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his
steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. {9}
And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.
{10} But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they
likewise received every man a penny. {11} And when they had received it, they murmured against
the goodman of the house, {12} Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made
them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. {13} But he answered one
of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? {14}
Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. {15} Is it not lawful
for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?" (Mt. 20v1-15,
AKJV, p.431)

"THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is LIKE UNTO A CERTAIN KING, WHICH MADE A
MARRIAGE FOR HIS SON." (Mt. 22v2, AKJV, p.432)

"But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye SHUT UP THE KINGDOM
OF HEAVEN AGAINST MEN: for ye neither GO IN yourselves, neither suffer ye THEM
THAT ARE ENTERING to GO IN." (Mt. 23v13, AKJV, p.433)

"And THIS GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM SHALL BE PREACHED IN ALL THE WORLD
for a witness unto all nations; and THEN SHALL THE END COME." (Mt. 24v14, AKJV,
p.434)

"{23} And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto His disciples, How hardly shall they
that have riches ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD! {24} And the disciples were
astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how
hard is it for them that trust in riches to ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD! {25} It is
easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to ENTER INTO THE
KINGDOM OF GOD." (Mk. 10v23-25, AKJV, p.444)

"Blessed be THE KINGDOM OF OUR FATHER DAVID, that COMETH IN THE NAME

OF THE LORD: Hosanna in the highest." (Mk. 11v10, AKJV, p.445)

"And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, He said unto him, THOU ART NOT FAR
FROM THE KINGDOM OF GOD. And no man after that durst ask Him any question."
(Mk. 12v34, AKJV, p.445)

"Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also WAITED FOR THE
KINGDOM OF GOD, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of
Jesus." (Mk. 15v43, AKJV, p.448)

"{20} And when He was demanded of the Pharisees, WHEN THE KINGDOM OF GOD
SHOULD COME, He answered them and said: THE KINGDOM OF GOD COMETH
NOT WITH OBSERVATION: {21} Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for
behold, THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU." (Lk. 17v20-21, AKJV, p.461)

"And HE SHALL REIGN OVER THE HOUSE OF JACOB FOR EVER; and of HIS KINGDOM
THERE SHALL BE NO END." (Lk. 1v33, AKJV, p.449)

"And He said unto them, I must PREACH THE KINGDOM OF GOD to other cities also:
for THEREFORE AM I SENT." (Lk. 4v43, AKJV, p.452)

"And He lifted up His eyes on His disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for YOURS IS
THE KINGDOM OF GOD." (Lk. 6v20, AKJV, p.453)

"Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and PREACH THE
KINGDOM OF GOD." (Lk. 9v60, AKJV, p.456)
