DESCRIPTION

The SIL silencer is made of spirally wound steel pipe as an outer casing and an internal perforated tube.
The space between the outer coating and the perforated tube is filled with sound-absorbing mineral
wool. The polyester fabric between the perforated tube and the mineral wool prevents wool from
penetrating into the duct. The silencer is typically supplied with gaskets. Diameters D1>315mm require
an additional NSL coupling must be ordered. Thickness of glass mineral wool depends on the dimension
of the outer casing.

DESCRIPTION

Noise silencers BS type are designed for reducing of noise transferred through the ventilation openings
in walls on seagoing ships and offshore objects. Recommended face air velocity related to LxB sectional
area is 4m/s. Silencers consist of steel casing with inserted noise absorbing and dismountable baffle
plates. Baffles are made of steel framing filled-up with mineral wool lined with perforated, galvanized
steel sheet. Standard surface treatment: hot dip galvanized, painted on request.

DESCRIPTION

Noise silencers NS type are designed for reducing of noise generated by marine axial flow fans. They
may be installed directly at fan inlet and/or outlet. Silencers consist of steel tubular housing lined inside
with sound absorbing mineral wool covered with perforated, galvanized steel sheet. In silencer axis a
core filled-up with mineral wool, lined with perforated, galvanized steel sheet, is fitted. Both ends of
silencers are lanced, with threaded holes. Standard surface treatment: hot dip galvanized. On request
silencers may be painted with marine paints set.

DESCRIPTION

Noise absorbing baffles NAB type are destined for reducing of noise transferred through the ventilation
ductwork of ventilation systems on seagoing ships. NAB baffles are intended for installation in main air
intakes or main ventilation trunks. Recommended face air velocity related to the duct sectional area is
5m/s. Baffles consist of galvanized steel sheet framing filled-up with noise absorbing mineral wool,
sheathed with water resistant aluminized fabric. Baffles are lined with galvanized, perforated steel sheet.
Standard surface treatment: hot dip galvanized, painted on request.

MARKING

Example: NAB type noise silencer of dimension H=1600mm: NAB-1600x1000


The standard length of baffle is 1000mm, dimension H must be specified by the order. Recommended
intervals between baffles are 300mm. The weight of baffle of e.g. H=2000mm is approx. 60kg.

DESCRIPTION

Noise absorbing modules NAM type are destined for reducing of noise transferred through the
ventilation ductwork of ventilation systems on seagoing ships. Recommended face air velocity related to
the BxH duct sectional area is 5m/s. Modules consist of galvanized steel sheet framing filled-up with
noise absorbing mineral wool, sheathed with water resistant aluminized fabric. Sheathing is tightened
with sealing compound where perforated e.g. with fastening pins. Standard surface treatment: hot dip
galvanized, painted on request.

Dimensions AxB must be defined by the order, recommended length of module (alongside the airflow
direction) is 1000mm. Recommended intervals between modules is 200mm.

DESCRIPTION

Rectangular duct silencers are intended for noise attenuation in ventilation and air conditioning systems.
Most often they are placed between a fan and a supply or exhaust air duct, and before air diffusers.
The silencer is made of housing with baffles inside. The housing is made of galvanized steel, has
mounting frames with sheet metal joining profiles on its ends and is stiffened with transverse sheet
corrugation. The baffles consist of galvanized steel frame and a sound-absorbing insert. The sound-
absorbing insert is a combination of non-combustible mineral wool panels and its external surface is
covered with a special abrasion resistant fabric, which protects mineral wool. ROCKWOOL panels are
covered with a black glass fibre veil, with coating that can support air flow rates of 2m/s, as well as
industrial ROCKWOOL panels are used. The maximum temperature of heat carrier is 250
o
C.
The product is non-combustible.
Depending on their design, there are two types of the baffles:
A absorptive baffles with all their surface covered with fabric. This type of baffles is used
predominantly for low and medium frequencies.
B absorptive/resonator baffles, which are similar to the absorptive baffles, but the sound-
absorbing insert on both sides of the baffle is screened across half the baffle surface with
galvanized steel sheet.
These baffles are used mainly for medium and high frequencies. Distance s between the baffles is
40-100mm. Care should be taken when handling, storing and assembling silencers on site so as not to
damage the surface of baffles. Rectangular silencers are placed in ventilation systems with vertical
baffles. The allowable flow rate should be taken into account when selecting the type of silencer,
depending on stream flow and the silencers own noise.

Example of identification: SLQ-1-1-4-800-400-500, where three last numbers indicate on
dimensions: a, b and L.
