A BOOK REVIEW

The Biblical Flood and the Ice Epoch, by Donald W. Patten, is easily among
the most profound and substantive books of our day. This book has left me
absolutely awestruck and quite overwhelmed at the tremendous judgments of
hwhy and the great magnitude of those things which occurred at the time of the
Flood. All those who seek to better understand the Scriptures should obtain this
book and peck away at its 325 pages. If your time is limited, read it bit-by-bit,
but whatever your method, be sure to read it!
Donald Patten – a creationist and a catastrophist – gives some amazing
evidences which not only support the veracity of the worldwide Flood, but his
work also refutes the anti-spiritual, atheistic approach of uniformitarianism and
Darwinism. Mr. Patten handily shows how the false “science” of infidels fails to
answer any of the following:
• Why have fossils of marine life and skeletal remains of every other imaginable
sort (birds, bison, dinosaurs, exotic vegetation, etc.) been found high in the Alps
as well as far below the earth in the hidden depths of German and Welsh coal
mines?
• How were wooly mammoths flash frozen with food still in their mouths? And
how did this occur since they were dwelling in then tropical regions – regions
which are now arctic, or nearly arctic, in climate? Yes, this includes regions
quite near to the North Pole! Many of these areas have remained nearly arctic
since the time of the Flood. Such rapid freezing (and death!) required
temperatures which were far, far below 32◦F. Scientifically, this could have only
been caused by temperatures which were extremely cold, temperatures of -250◦F,
or very likely, even less! From where on earth did such temperatures originate?!
• How is it that mountains of solid ice extend from the surface of the earth
upwards 15,000-17,000 feet above sea level while in other places this ice extends
5,000 below sea level resting on “solid ground” at the very bottom of the
Antarctic Ocean? Ordinary snow could have never caused this as it would have
either melted on the water’s surface or, at best, formed a relatively superficial
layer of ice!
• How can it be that layers of ice are found in eastern Washington State
alternating between layers of hardened lava?
• Why have fruit trees been found in Arctic regions? And what occurred to
result in these trees being flash frozen while still containing fresh, unpicked, and
uneaten fruit? And how could it be that such arctic regions were, obviously,
once tropical?!
• What great, immensely powerful, gravitational disturbance effected to uplift
the mountains of the world so that some are nearly 30,000 feet in height? And
how is it that the moon contains mountain uplifts which are much like those seen
on the earth?
 All who worship the Mighty One of Yisrael will stand in even greater awe of
His Name after reading this revealing work. Malachi 2:5 Readers will be amazed
when learning the agency by which the cataclysms surrounding the Flood
occurred! The Biblical Flood and the Ice Epoch is a book beyond profound; it
is a landmark work of unprecedented scope. Although the text is out-of-print,
this fine manuscript is still readily available, electronically, at no cost. It may be

While the length of the text may initially seem formidable, by reading just 3
pages a day, the book may be easily digested in just under 4 months. It is well
worth the effort! Those who stand in awe of hwhy and His word will be
immensely blessed by the things revealed in this outstanding discourse on the
Deluge! The Biblical Flood and the Ice Epoch gets 5 out of 5 stars. And if
enough people write back voting to give it a 6-star status (out of 5), we will
simply change our present rating!
Blessed be the Name of hwhy who has revealed Himself and His awesome
judgments. Whenever He chooses, hwhy can call upon the host of heaven to do
His bidding, and we anticipate He shall do this very thing in the near future. The
wrath of hwhy seen in the Apocalypse will burn up the earth as He executes His
fierce wrath upon the lawless and unrepentant. Psalm 119:126, Isaiah 24:1-6,
Revelation 8:7-12, 16:8-9 During this time, anything which can be shaken, will
be shaken … in the heavens above, in the earth beneath, and in the waters under
the earth. Isaiah 2:12-21, Haggai 2:6, Luke 21:25-26, Revelation 6:12-17 hwhy
will destroy the sinful kingdoms from off the face of the earth. Amos 9:8 Let the
Earth’s inhabitants be warned, and tremble. In the meantime, we believe hwhy El
Elyon, the Most High Creator of heaven and earth, will continue to use this book
to make His great ways more widely known among all the nations of the earth.
